photoblog image You Can Lead a Horse to Water

You Can Lead a Horse to Water

This is a series of pics from my birthday weekend in June from Bruges, Belgium.

You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink!
In this case, we were very happy to see the horses getting their much-deserved breaks on every tourist ride they gave along the cobblestone streets.  While they ate/drank, we had a nice little photo op!

[Today I'm in Atlanta.]

But sure can force it to drink :d. Nice Shot Granny!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, as always, Nacha. smile
I like seeing the horse enjoying its horse repast, especially since some of the tourist horses here seem very neglected.
Ginnie Hart: Exactly. It was a feel-good moment. Thanks, Martin.

I now now where the phrase 'feed bag' came from.
Ginnie Hart: Yes, indeed, Mary. smile

Ginnie Hart: If we treated all animals like humans that need/deserve respect, we'd be a much better world, right, Dudee?! Thanks.

Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Chantal.
They are such beautiful looking horses in Bruges.
Ginnie Hart: Yes, Aussie. I was very pleased to see it!

Seen from the point of horse pictures, this one is excellent. The colours are true bay and vivid as with the better horse pictures. It seems well looked after.

Great capture.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you most kindly, Louis. Since you're around horses a lot, you would know these important things.

Very nicely composed and photographed Ginnie. Do I detect the use of a noise filter here? Kind regards, Neil.
Ginnie Hart: Are you saying the horse looks too clean, Neil? grin Thanks.
Ginnie, this picture is perfectly exposed. Great contrast between the grey ground and the beautiful colour of this greedy horse ! smile
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Flo. He had eye blinders on and after many pics taken from the side, the one I chose was this one where you could see his eye. smile
Love the proverb and the shot !!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Zeb! smile
Looks like he's having a bad hair day wink
Ginnie Hart: HA! The perm is running out, you're right, Will. grin
Lovely clear image yet again, Ginnie. The horse has such a gorgeous rich colour. Good composition too.

Very nice Ginnie! I really love this shot!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Saed.
Love the way you have composed this one Ginnie. And on a similar note, my little dog is eating and drinking again and I was able to bring her home yesterday. She has to take antibiotics and anti-inflamatories for a couple more weeks but she's wagging her tail and there's a bounce back to her walk. I am so relieved!
Ginnie Hart: I am relieved with and for you as well, Jose Ann. Thanks for the update both here and on your Friday's post!
Towing tourists is thirsty work! Great photo, Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: Yes, it is, Karen! Thanks.

Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Monika. So sorry I didn't catch this kind comment earlier. I sure liked your giraffes today (Saturday the 25th)!
Lovely sharp image. Good contrast between horse and background. All the best, Dave.
Ginnie Hart: Glad you like it, Dave. Thanks for your kind support.
