For You, Dad
This is for my dad, who died in 1995 of lung cancer. He was a preacher and never smoked a day in his life. He was 78.
Dad was a man of many talents. He was a professional sign painter and helped subsidize his meager salary in the early days. He was also a pen and ink artist and made his own bookplate, which you can see here
. The bookplate is of a hart (a male red deer--Dad had red hair, as do I).
Whenever I go by this canal house, I always think of you, Dad.
"As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God."
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!
