Since we're back in Atlanta for the weekend (for Donica's mom's birthday!), I want to take a break from Amsterdam pics and show you a few more from our week in NYC back in April.
The one bridge we crossed over many times in NYC was the Manhattan Bridge
, going back and forth to Brooklyn. I mentioned before that we never crossed the Brooklyn Bridge
because the tour buses weigh too much. (In this pic
you can see how close they are together.)
As I thought about this pic, I realized it's really more of a sell-job on the Image Stabilization that cameras are now offering. My little Canon PowerShot S3 IS
almost always comes through when I think I don't have a prayer's chance.
I was on the top of a double-decker tour bus in the early evening of our night tour, bumping and bouncing around with the best of them. I pointed the camera up as we were driving over the bridge. It still amazes me that this actually turned out.
[Today I'm in Atlanta.]
