Don't Let it Go to Your Head!

For 4 days I'm posting a mini-series of this Loggerhead sea turtle who lives in the Georgia Explorer section of our aquarium.  Since Donica's Animal Guide is the turtle, this series is for her.

FUN FACT #3:  "The loggerhead sea turtle was named for its large head."

This is a continuation of the series of pics taken at our Georgia Aquarium here in Atlanta on March 19.

[This afternoon we fly from Amsterdam to Hannover, Germany.]

Excellent detail again. I like how you have framed this one - excellent composition. Sell it as poster material to the aquarium!
Ginnie Hart: You, too, Louis. You're way too kind! But thanks!
Great colours and wonderful detail.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Bernie.

"It's good!" (He looks like a referee.)

I think he's looking at you and showing off his fins (is that what they're called?). I can see why he has a big head with such a beautiful body.

The photos keep getting better, as others have said. Just like the wine in the Jesus story, saving the best for last??
Ginnie Hart: HA! You're right, Ruth. Exactly like a referee.

You're so kind with your words. The last pic for tomorrow may not be the best but it definitely fits the Fun Fact. smile
fantastic colours and i like the action uve caught...
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Sam. It's been a fun series. smile
These shots get better and better! He's kind of a ham isn't he?
Ginnie Hart: HA! hadn't thought he was a ham, Josie, but with all those people watching him every day, he'd HAVE to be a ham just to keep from being borted!
I agree with Josie. I love all of these turtle pictures, Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: You're a sweetheart, Kay. Thanks.
Another WOW! This is just awesome. I have added to my likeys so I can show my grandkids too.
Ginnie Hart: You've honored me, DD. Thanks!

Another absolute corker of a picture Ginnie.

This little feller's looking straight at me! He's so absolutely lovely smile
Ginnie Hart: So are you, Ellie. Thank you!
This is my favorite. Great capture.
Ginnie Hart: Awww. Thanks, Red Pen.
what outstanding colors. I'd be looking at that turtle for a long while. He's so adorable and the colors are just stunning.. Now to see it in the wild one day.. ;-)
Ginnie Hart: You're a sweetheart for backtracking, Jen. Thanks!
Great colors on this one, it's very difficult to obtain so sharp shot through a glass : Thumbs up !!
Ginnie Hart: You really are a sweetheart, Zeb. smile
great shot. i like the clarity despite it being in an aquarium. from the thumbnail i would have imagined you did a scuba dive for this one
Ginnie Hart: That was almost 5 years ago, Ayush, and I still remember it like it was yesterday. smile I had so much fun at the aquarium that day...with my point-n-shoot camera. Those were the days. smile Thanks for back-tracking.
