Nip and Tuck

As these two fillies raced around the pasture, side by side, they'd slow down to give each other love pats and then would tear off again.

This is #2 in a series of 4....

yes I confirm i like it ;-) they have fun apparently !
Ginnie Hart: It sure looked like fun to me, Dafredo! Thanks. smile
Very sharp and very well timed. I notice that your last 4 posts have been from an S3IS - new camera..??? Did I hear "party"..???? grin
Ginnie Hart: Actually, Thomas, my Sony pocket camera is my old-but-good camera from many years; my Canon S3 IS is since late May of 2006. I still use both cameras because I keep the Sony in my purse and sometimes only have that with me. The pics from last year's circus were from the Sony.

Anyway, thanks for your comment. smile

Nice framing. Like your horses - would Nip be the black and Tuck (tail withdrawn) the other?
Ginnie Hart: Now, Louis. You thought that up before I did. Good job! smile
very nice one, sharp and warm color and good timing as well.
Ginnie Hart: Timing IS everything, Chantal. There were several times when they both were on their hind legs, almost completely vertical, facing each other, but I never caught it in time. I was glad for what I DID catch, however.

Thanks, as always, for your comments!
I know nothing about horses as I'm a little afraid of them but they look like mother and daughter to me, Nip being the daughter and Tuck telling her to mind her manners. wink
Ginnie Hart: You know, Johnny, you may be right about this being mother and daughter because one of them seems bigger than the other (Goldie). Since it's a boarding pasture, I've wondered if they're friends that recently met?

I know what you mean about being afraid of horses. I was thrown from one once and that scared me. But the wise owner made me get back up on him and "take control." I've been okay ever since.
Very well captured! This is a very dynamic shot. These horses are older than I thought based on the previous picture.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Martin. I have no clue whatsoever about judging the age of horses. Maybe you're right?
What beautiful glossy coats you've captured!
Ginnie Hart: The sun was so beautiful on them that day, Josie. Thank you kindly.
Very playful, lovely picture Ginnie smile
Ginnie Hart: Thank you so much, Chris.
Nice mood you have captured there, Ginnie. Looks like the two fillies were having a lot of fun, and so were you, clicking them smile
Ginnie Hart: Yes, Kedar. Lots of fun all around! smile
From the shade of the horses I would expect the light to be much more harsh, but this light looks so warm - good job.
Ginnie Hart: Hmmm. Maybe you're right, Aksel. I must say I was thrilled by how these pics came out. Thank you.
These guys really had fun! Their fur is shimmering in the sun. So nice. smile
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Julia. It was such a perfect day to spot this. In fact, maybe that's what they were excited about--a perfect, warm, sunshiny day! smile
toujours aussi magnifique
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, O-P.
Was it Valentine's day for the horses? wink
Ginnie Hart: Yes, Maven, I do believe so. smile

Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Dotun. You're a sweetheart.
I like very much the difference of colors between these horses, a great serie !!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks a million, Zeb. smile
