Ready, Get Set, GO

Some of you will appreciate my departure from the man-made circus to the "natural circus" that takes place in the animal kingdom all around us, if we but look.

A week ago today I stopped by the side of the road a couple miles from our house and watched these two fillies frolic in the sun.  It was an incredible dance.  Here they are starting to tear across the pasture at breakneck speed, side by side.

(Pretend this is a Harry Potter movie and they're running into this frame from one on the left!)

This is the first pic in a series of 4.  Stay tuned.

I will stay tuned! I want to see the 3 others, I like this one to start with! great angle you let place for us to imagine the horses going farther!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Dafredo. I think you're gonna like what you see. smile

I think that man sometimes is a natural circus. You should see the goings on at my place of work! Ringling Bros has nothing on it some times. I like that you left some open space in the frame to which they can run into. I think it gives a feeling of freedom.
Ginnie Hart: HA! We humans ARE our own circus, for sure, Clint! Glad you like the space here for freedom. They had lots of it in this pasture, which was part of the fun to see them running back-n-forth.

I'd go with Narnia... but Harry Potter is okay too. tongue

Lovely motion shot Ginnie. Did I tell you horses are my favorite animal? I guess thats why I kinda went off on the shot of the circus shot earlier, heh. We had a couple of horses when I was young and thats when I used to watch them in fascination... watching them run. And lets not forget the many unforgettable horse movies!
Ginnie Hart: Narnia works! And "Horse Whisperer" is my favorite horse movie, with Robert Redford, of course. smile

So glad this pic meets your approval, Mia. smile
This one's a nice contrast to the circus picture. A tethered horse as opposed to these guys running freely! I will stay tuned for the other 3 pics... smile
Ginnie Hart: Thanks for staying tuned, Kedar. I hope you'll be pleasantly surprised. smile
Now that's more like it! Beautiful shot, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Suzanne. I knew you'd like this one better. It's for you and Genevieve. smile
Strange you should mention Harry Potter in connection with horses,as Daniel Radcliffe, Mr Potter, will be appearing in Equus, treading the boards....with his kit off!!! See the young girls swoon....
Ginnie Hart: I've heard about that, David, but I also heard that he's not very buff. But the girls will still swoon, I'm sure. smile
nice timing,.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Chantal.
freedom!
Ginnie Hart: Yes, Nicola. Something we all want and need!
A very nice moove effect here and as say sguardiamo a great idea of freedom ! Cool smile
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Sir Zeb! smile

Lots of power in motion. Love the muscles on Goldie's face. And Blackie seems to be getting ahead of himself; hope he doesn't topple over!

Amazing speed shot!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Ruth. I can definitely assure you that Blackie does not topple over. But neither does she get out of step with Goldie. It was like synchronized swimming! smile

BTW, if you look carefully, you can see that each horse has only one foot on the ground! And Blackie's tail is way up in the air. That's how fast they were going.
They sure look like they are enjoying themselves. Nice capture, Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: And I was thoroughly enjoying watching them enjoy themselves, totally oblivious to me and my camera! Thanks, Martin.
A happy couple, lovely shot Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: That's exactly what I thought, Chris--they are so happy and having so much fun. Thanks.
Horses mmens for me beauty and freedom... We see both on them in this picture. I like it.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks a million, Roland. I think you're right!
Nice action shot! Run, Fury run! grin
Ginnie Hart: Yup. Run is right!! smile Thanks, Julia.
les prendre en mouvement, chapeau!
superbe
Ginnie Hart: Merci, O-P!
I can almost hear the horses in this one Ginnie
Nice capture smile
Ginnie Hart: Awww. You've got good ears, Mr. Magnus. I love it. Thanks.
I agree with Magnus, it's almost like I cab hear the hoves (?) against the grass. Lovely animals smile I really like the light on the light brown horse.
Ginnie Hart: It really was nice to have the contrast in color between the two horses, Aksel, which you'll continue to see in the next 3 pics. Yes, now that you and Magnus mention it, I can hear the hooves as well! smile
ginnie youve captured a simply beautiful shot of these horses. i cant wait to show you my horse shots i took the other day! they werent galloping tho sad . looking forward to more of your horse series.
Ginnie Hart: Ohhh. More horses, Genevieve! Don't we all just love those magnificent animals! I will definitely look for YOUR pics. Thanks for coming by to see mine. This is the only one of the 4 where they're galloping.
So fresh and spontaneous. I love it!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks a million, Dani.

The missing half tail and the motion in to the right really makes it look as if the are running into the frame.

So we are both doing horses this week. You know what they say about great minds (and that fools never differ)? Getting to worry here.
Ginnie Hart: HA, Louis. Let's go with great minds! It's been fun to see what we're both doing. smile
Nice action!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, dear Josie!
Very nice serie that I began by the end - Great work Ginnie !!
Ginnie Hart: That's how some people read books, Zeb! smile Either way, thanks!
Very interesting pose of these horses here, black one is staying only on her front leg! I really like it, so natural and amuzing...
Ginnie Hart: Yes, Monika--it was very fun to watch. Thanks for commenting!
