A Commercial Break

We fly back from the Michigan cottage on this first day of 2007 and will get back in time to watch the Rose Bowl game between the University of Michigan (my alma mater) and the University of Southern California (Dennis' alma mater).

While most of you around the world could care less, THIS IS BIG STUFF for my family.  So, as we say, may the best team win!

Final Boo-Hoo Score:  USC 32, UM 18 :(

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Go Team!

Happy New Year! Will stayed tuned to the fairy tale.

Peace, health, happiness and prosperity in 2007!
Ginnie Hart: Well, it was NOT a feel-good game at all, I'm afraid. I felt sick to my stomach the entire second half. Not a good way to start 2007, so I will gladly get it out of my system and think of the safe trip home from Michigan and that wonderful time with family instead!

All the best to you, dear Josie, as we start out this 2007 year together!
Hi Ginnie and team and a blessed new year to you all. I used to watch a lot of gridiron when I still lived in the UK and can fully understand the passion and fervour you guys feel, even for college football - the breeding ground for future stars. Enjoy the game and as you so rightly say, may the best team win, even if you are partisan!! Many, many warm wishes and kindest regards, Neil.-x-
Ginnie Hart: Well, as I said to Josie, it was not a good game for UofM and actually made me sick to my stomach. We could have and should have done so much better. Oh well.

Now I will think on bigger and better things as we start 2007, so thankful that you are part of this warm and loving Neighborhood!

I hope the winning team includes you in their celebrations wink

I wish you a bright, happy and successful New Year.
Ginnie Hart: I guess it was not meant to be, dear Ellie. Not this year, but your lovely wishes made me smile, in spite of our loss. Thank God we can really say "it's just a game."

I wish for you, too, a year of growth, enrichment and yes, enlightenment, as we all attempt to "see" better what is before our very eyes. Thanks for being so integral to my/our Shutterchance Neighborhood!

A lovely clear picture of this shirt. And since it is your side, may they win.
Ginnie Hart: Your good wishes and kind comment are sufficient for me in the context of our loss (boo-hoo). The game will fade away but not you and the Neighborhood that has become such a significant part of my life. Thank you, Louis.

GO BLUE! We think they have a good chance of winning! grin

It was wonderful being with you and yours these last few days, but I can't believe it's already come and gone. :|

Now we'll just keep loving through our pictures until next time we're together. And this is pretty fun!

Love the shirt, so clear and sharp.
Ginnie Hart: Boo-hoo-hoo! Ugh! What a game! Well, thanks for commiserating with us!

I will now let the game fade away from consciousness and think instead on the things that matter, like the wonderful memory of our time with you in Michigan. And yes, we will keep loving and inspiring each other through our pics! Thank you.

The weather is perfect for this BIG GAME so the "stage" is set. Love your picture! Haven't seen the shirts available here but - I wonder - do they list USC on the left - or "first" so to speak and Michigan on the right. Curious I think. Whatever the result of the game - we will look forward to a great year for us all!
Ginnie Hart: Yes, Judy, I did notice how perfect the weather was in Pasadena today for the game! Perfect for YOU, I see. smile Too bad the game was not as even-keeled as it should have been. Sigh. It really was no fun, which I hate. But then, it really is just a game, even if that's not what it felt like at the time. Congratulations to you and your Trojans.

BUT, here you have stopped by to make a comment and it makes it all worthwhile!!! Yes, we will look forward to a great new year for all of us. Don't we just wonder what all it holds in store for us and our dear kids! smile

Your title made me giggle!
Ginnie Hart: Awwwww. That makes losing not feel so bad right now, several days removed. smile
