I wasn't going to post this because it's not exactly how I wanted it to look (I should have used a black background) but the medallion is back in Hannover, out of reach. Rats!
BUT, I at least was able to play with the lighting on the medal from when I took the pic (last week in Hannover) to make it look like the sun was bursting on the Stonehenge scene (last 2 pics). After all, that's what this historic monument seems to be all about: the Sun!
These medallions (1.25 in./3.5cm in diameter) are in those tourist machines where you put in your Euro and out pops the medal. In the same way we collect pinched pennies here in the States, we collect these medallions in Europe wherever we find them. We have 17 of them thus far.
Thus ends my Stonehenge jaunt.
