Astounding.
That is a truly wonderful shot and processing to go with it.
Astounding.
Ginnie Hart: Most kind of you, Michael!

Gorgeous tones, contrasts and textures! I love the patterns in the brick courses and window grilles. And this selective coloring really "pops"! Nice to have a view that isn't blocked by vehicles. smile
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir.
Beau travail de désaturation, j'aime le vélo rouge.
Ginnie Hart: Merci, Martine. The bike is actually orange, which is, of course, the color of the Netherlands. smile
Very nice. I am a fan of selective colouring.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Rob. Not everybody is a fan but, you know me. I don't care. smile
Excellent shot young lady !
Ginnie Hart: I'm most thrilled by the "young lady," Frank. grin

Solid working models...love 'em!
Ginnie Hart: I do, too, Ray. They're in the Dutch DNA!
Nicely done, Ginnie!! All the textures are so wonderful!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Elizabeth. All of this is in the Dutch DNA.

I like this a lot, Ginnie. This selective colouring is just beautiful and you are right "More Dutch you cannot get"....Love it.
Ginnie Hart: Bedankt, Astrid. You always say you know exactly where you'll put your signature, when you take a photo. That's often the same way I am about selective coloring!

Exactly! I bet no Lycra is worn by the riders, either. Proper cycling.
Ginnie Hart: HA! Well, not that I pay that much attention, Alan, but probably not with most riders.

I saw such a red bike yesterday in Den Bosch. I like your Dutch photo!
Ginnie Hart: This one is actually are deep orange, Philine, but close enough. Bedankt. I still can't believe you were so nearby!
Delightfully Dutch Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: My thought exactly, Bill!

It’s a bicycle Friday job Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: You got it, Chad.
I knew the blue bicycle but not the red one. Nice job of partial desaturation, something I don't know how to do. Black and white was a good choice. Have a good weekend, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Merci, Marie. It's actually a deep orange bike that somehow looks red in this image. Orange is the Dutch color of Royalty. I wish I could show you how easy it is to do selective coloring...if you have the right "tools."
Love the orange town bike ...
Ginnie Hart: I do, too, Richard. I always want to take a picture whenever I see one. smile

Well composed and converted. Oranje boven!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir.
Red goes so good with grey, Ginnie. I love the scene and your work.
Ginnie Hart: Or deep orange, as the case may be, Care. Thank you.
I don't just like the colour popped bikes but I also like the building as well.
Ginnie Hart: I know what you mean, Brian. It's all so palpable.
Love your use of selective color
Friendship
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Ruthie.

Beautiful array of textures, pop of color, and comment on how no one would take your bikes. Or are they secured where I can't see?
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Bonnie. Dutch bikes have built-in locks on their back wheels for when they can't chain them to something stationary nearby. To steal the bike you'd have to either break/open the lock or pick the bike up and carry it off.
pretty desaturation
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Yoshimi.
No one ever says "More Luxembourgish you cannot get". Why not? smile
Ginnie Hart: HAHAHA. Good one, Larry. I suppose it's because there's nothing of note (that I know of) to make it Luxembourgish?
