What a beautiful bird's eye view you've captured here! They stand out nicely against the verdant foliage.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Steven. I was standing on the nearby dijk and was able to zoom in.

What a wonderful capture. Love the light in this image.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Bonnie. I didn't grow up seeing storks in America, ever, so seeing them here in Europe has been a real thrill.
Great shot Ginnie, similar to what I've been seeing lately.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Frank. For how many I see here in Europe, I'm making up for all the ones I never saw in America!
Quelle jolie petite famille, j'aime beaucoup cette photo.
Ginnie Hart: Merci, Martine. Kinda like kittens, right? smile
Awe I just love this image!!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Elizabeth. Seeing all the storks here is like making up for lost time when I never saw them in America growing up.

I do like these birds. Apparently we now have Storks breeding here in the UK too, which is good news
Ginnie Hart: Maybe they flew over from the Netherlands??? smile
How fortunate to witness a family scene like this. I do not see storks in my area and I regret that because they are beautiful big birds. Good day Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Merci, Marie. I never saw storks while living in America, so this is a huge treat for me seeing them here often!

I love this point of view, Ginnie. We are so lucky that there are dikes all around this place where we stand on and that we can see "in" the nests.
Ginnie Hart: Bedankt, Astrid. We are so very lucky for all of that AND the fact that this stork village is so nearby!

Excellent, Ginnie.

I ride very close to two Open-beak Storks on my ride this morning, but they flew off as I stopped for a picture.
Ginnie Hart: Whenever we can get close enough for the zoom-zoom, Ray, we're thrilled, so I know what you mean.
Très belle citation !!
Et la photo magnifique , j'aime vraiment beaucoup
les cigognes
Ginnie Hart: Merci, Claudine. There's something about storks, isn't there!
Wonderful. I shall never forget seeing the storks
Ginnie Hart: And I'll never forget how delighted you were to see them, Bill.
Deux nids, deux belles famille sur les nids.
Bonne journée Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Merci, Pascale. They're fun, aren't they!

That is such a lovely proverb Ginnie. It is a clue as to what we are missing.
Ginnie Hart: Indeed so, Chad. We are learning now how much we NEED the "village."

a fine observation - it is now the time for the storks, here in Munstershire, too. I like this saying!
Ginnie Hart: I have learned to love the storks here, Philine, probably because I didn't grow up with them. Aren't they wonderful!

Watch it. The birding things grows out of experiences like this.

I have never seen storks in Hollandshire or any of the more affluent European countries. Hungary and Portugal had no shortage.

With reference to the proverb: Yes, we have difficult children and they can keep a whole society busy smile
Ginnie Hart: I've seen more storks here where we live, Louis, than in the rest of my life put together! And I love it! smile
What a terrific image, a Natural History shot at its best. I don't think I've ever seen a Stork in real life.
Ginnie Hart: I don't think I ever saw a stork in real life until I moved to the Netherlands, Brian, and now I see them often!

Ginnie Hart: Bedankt, Willy. It's a real joy to see stork families like this here.
Oh I just LOVE this. What a huge next and so high! Beautiful! Friendship
Ginnie Hart: It's a wonder to see, Ruthie, isn't it! Thank you.
According to my mom, it took a village and a half to raise me.
Ginnie Hart: HAHAHA! Well, look at you now, Ryan. It sure paid off. smile
You had a great vantage point to peer into there world Ginnie! smile
Ginnie Hart: Yes, we did, Martin!
Good neighbours they must be
Ginnie Hart: Indeed so, Martin. I can imagine one of them asking the other, "Could you please watch the kids for a minute while I fly off to ask Mildred about something I heard the other day?"
