It's Friday

Sharing coffee/tea with others is something we'll never take for granted again, right?!

That's when technicolor will return?!

C'est un beau service à thé avec de jolies décorations.
Ginnie Hart: I thought so, too, Martine. Merci.

Very appealing in b/w1 I wouldn't have thought of doing that ...Very pretty design.
Ginnie Hart: Most kind of you, Bonnie. No matter what I did, I was not happy with this in color with the lighting hues in the room, thus the conversion to B&W. Not sure why I even thought of that!

Great choice to process in B&W to give this vintage appeal! Especially with this tea set. Beautiful tones and contrasts as well. Have a fantabulous weekend!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Steven. The color version didn't work for me, no what I did with it. So I'm glad you think the B&W works.
Too right Ginnie...Though we did for the first time today ! I also dined out at lunch.
Ginnie Hart: Slowly but surely, Frank, things are picking back up, even though we all know we're far from being out of the woods yet. Stay safe.

I expect I would enjoy a cup of team here, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Yes, I'm sure you would, Ray! smile
That's right!! I actually like this in B&W... I think the sharpness of your image is enhanced by the monochrome - so meany details we might miss if it were in technicolor!
Ginnie Hart: Most kind of you, Elizabeth, because there was nothing I did in color that made me like this image. Thank you.

You are quite right Ginnie, we will savour the moment..
Ginnie Hart: Yes, indeed, Chris!

That looks very inviting, Ginnie and I love the B&W. Having tea together is something special, that means you can share the delight of being together. And no we don't take it for granted.
Ginnie Hart: No, we don't, Astrid, and hopefully never again! Thank you for going along with the B&W conversion because I really did NOT like what it looked like in color, no matter what I did.

I can just imagine how good tea from this service would taste, and especially in the company of friends. A reminder that one should use fine china more often
Ginnie Hart: I have heard many people say things will never be the same after "this" is over, Lisl. I hope so!
I like these old-fashioned tea or coffee sets. They are beautiful, delicate and I like to have my coffee in pretty cups. I don't like awfully muggy mugs.
It's true that having tea or coffee with friends has become difficult and maybe that's what I miss the most with confinement because I live alone and I'm used to it without it bothering me but not having coffee with friends is more difficult.
Nice choice tbe bw
Ginnie Hart: I think we all are realizing how important these "small" pleasures are, Marie, that we so easily take for granted. One day soon we will have our doors wide open again. Till then, please stay safe and healthy.

You are right - but every Friday we are sharing coffee in Uschi's garden while social distancing, of course.
A beautiful, elegant coffee service!
Ginnie Hart: We have a few koffies here, too, Philine, but not like we're used to. We all look forward to the day of "freedom" again.
A fine b&w . I do wonder when I will want to go to a tea rooms again
Ginnie Hart: I know, Bill. We may all want to wait until after a vaccine is clearly effective?

I always thought that technicolour was superior to Eastman colour Ginnie. I don’t k ow when we will feel comfortable being in a room or crowded space with others. Probably once we ha e a vaccine.
Ginnie Hart: I agree about the vaccine part, Chad. We have no intention of flying back to America, for instance, until there is a vaccine. Can't imagine being on an airplane that long without it, twice, for one thing!
Wat een prachtig sfeervol plaatje.
Zou zo maar een mooi geklede dame uit de vorige eeuw achter het theeservies kunnen gaan zitten ;-0
Fijn Pinksterweekend
Ginnie Hart: I like your imagination, Marjolein. smile You, too, have a great Pentecost weekend.
Très beau service bien ouvragé.
Bonne journée Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: I thought so, too, Pascale. Merci.

Ginnie Hart: A koffie coming right up for you, Willy! smile Bedankt.

You have to watch this film, G!
It's one of my favourites.
Ginnie Hart: That movie looks and sounds familiar, LC, but that was also a long time ago. I'd love to see it again "for the first time!" Too bad it's not on our Dutch Netflix.
We have done so well here that many restrictions have been lifted so you may come have tea with me.
Ginnie Hart: Many of our restrictions are lifted now, too, Care, and even more starting on Monday. YAY. But thanks for the invitation!
I'm with most of the others, it really works well in B.& W. We were saying at lunchtime about going to our daughters, only 20 minutes away, and sitting in the garden, as she did with us a couple of weeks ago, but I think most people in our age group don't feel fully confident at the moment and prefer staying at home.
Ginnie Hart: We're actually starting to get out ourselves, Brian, sitting outdoors with friends here where we live and with friends nearby. My guess is that closer to Fall, we'll be restricted again?!

Excellent conversion to b&w. It looks old world and shiny at the same time. What software did you use?
Ginnie Hart: Thank you Louis. Just Photoshop, with a filter. smile
The simple pleasures will be treasured, Ginnie smile Great in B&W!
Ginnie Hart: Yes, indeed, Martin. Thank you.
A rather flamboyant tea set!
Ginnie Hart: ...says the Englishman! smile

your greyscale version has given it a timeless appeal

may be a long time
Ginnie Hart: "Timeless" is what many are feeling right now, Sherri, I suppose. But I think you're right that it may be a long time before we really feel comfortable going out and about freely. (sigh)
That is fabulous.
We had friends over for distanced tea in the back garden. Well I had tea, everyone else had cider. Poor me.
Ginnie Hart: Poor you, indeed, Michael. But distancing in the back garden is a good start. We're doing that here as well.
La classe ce service !!
Au contraire je pense qu'on le partagera avec grand plaisir dans quelques temps bien sur ..
Ginnie Hart: One day soon, I hope, Claudine! Merci.
