That looks so real, Ginnie. And I think I am hungry for a sunny-side-up egg. Een "uitsmijter".......it sounds like a great way to start this last week of February......
Ginnie Hart: Can you imagine this huge painting hanging in the kitchen every day! OMG! But yes, it looks good enough to eat. Soon you'll be back home and we can have sunny-side-up eggs any time you want. smile
Très bien peint, ça donne envie.
Ginnie Hart: I know, Martine. smile Merci.
That's a very realistic painting! Would be better if you could eat it... You and Beth are on the same page... smile
Ginnie Hart: Nothing subliminal about this one, Elizabeth. HA! It does make me want to make some sunny-side-up eggs...maybe even for an egg sandwich!
this is good enough to eat, Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: Just about, Ayush! smile
Very tempting Ginnie smile
Ginnie Hart: I agree, Frank.

The egg needs another minute on heat, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: HA! I guess it's each to his own, Ray, right? smile

Just like the real thing. I love eggs!
Ginnie Hart: I do, too, Chris. It's making me want to make a sunny-side-up egg sandwich. smile

English cooked breakfast? Very realistic!
Ginnie Hart: English and American, Philine. Not many don't like sunny-side-up eggs, I assume?! smile
Yum yum, you could say it's an "oeuf au miroir" (a French recipe).
Ginnie Hart: I learn something new every day, Marie. smile

Ginnie Hart: It's fun, Alan, isn't it!
Very tempting Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: And so unexpected, Bill. HA!

A good thing I have just had my porridge, otherwise my mouth would be watering!
Ginnie Hart: I know exactly what you mean, Lisl. smile
Dank je voor dit stevige ontbijt/
Het ziet er smakelijk uit, geschilderd en gefotografeerd ! ;-0
Ginnie Hart: Bedankt, Marjolein. Not something you expect to see on the wall of a museum! smile

Way too realistic. You sure it was not a "paint by camera"? Now that Astrid mentioned an uitsmijter - I will see if we have ham in the fridge.
Ginnie Hart: HA! An uitsmijter it is, for me, too!
You have to get a full English to gain all the energy you need to power your big brain.

Are kippers commonly eaten as breakfast in Holland too? Well, if you can't do raw herrings the Dutch way. You can try the English way to have kippers first. I am sure there's an American way to eat this fish too. Care to share with us? Ha!
Ginnie Hart: Oh, no. There you go again, LC, with your herring. You're bound and determined to get me to eat one one day, aren't you! Trust me, you'll be the first to know (apart from Astrid) if I do. smile

It's got me yearning for a hot breakfast this morning! I love that shiny yolk.
Ginnie Hart: It does whet the appetite, Steven, for sure. smile
My dear old Dad's comment would have been 'It looks good enough to eat' he wasn't very often wrong my Dad.
Ginnie Hart: HA! I love it, Brian!

I love it - yum. Interesting enough, I posted a shot of some sunny side up eggs today. I definitely could see this hanging in a kitchen. I also like the frame. Well done.
Ginnie Hart: We didn't even have to call each other to make this happen, Beth. HA! I love that we're on the same page today. That frame, of course, was the one it came with on the museum wall. I was just glad I was able to square it away, which isn't always easy.

Le matin, pour moi, c'est difficile
JP
Ginnie Hart: No reason why you can't have it for lunch or supper, then, JP! smile
Looks a good start for the day, Ginnie! I expect Astrid is needing this for her working days at this time smile
Ginnie Hart: Oh, yes, Martin. We all need a good start to the day to get our metabolism going, they say.

het lijkt wel echt Ginnie

maar voor mij toch iets te zwaar op de maag zo s'morgens vroeg

have a nice day
Ginnie Hart: I'm used to muesli every morning, Willy, but every once in awhile I wouldn't mind such a start. smile
it is a great way start to the day Ginnie... nice shot....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Peter. It's fun, isn't it.
Wow! I read about Tjalf while researching hyper-realism after seeing a painting of a water covered face. Funnily enough, I too painted a sunny-side up fried egg for my first attempt at it... smile
Ginnie Hart: I declare, Sudipto. It'd a small world after all. smile
