photoblog image It's Monday

It's Monday

The last month of the year (and it's still Autumn*)!

(in Acadia National Park, Maine, on 16 October)

*BTW, here in the Netherlands the leaves are falling 2-4 weeks later than normal because of climate change, they say.

This is picture book perfect, Ginnie! The color and composition... yummy!
But there's no global warming! It's a hoax perpetrated by the Chinese... according to the most brilliant man alive...
Ginnie Hart: Most kind of you, Elizabeth. And yes, of course, we all know there is absolutely NO global warming. Nor is there over-population, which certainly is just as bad!
yes, this short has October written all over it, Ginnie. and i recall, during my year in the Netherlands, i too heard of similar remarks about the weather being a bit delayed.
Ginnie Hart: Yes, you would know about Autumn here in the Netherlands, Ayush. I wonder if you miss it???
Joli petit pont au milieu de ces belles couleurs.
Ginnie Hart: It was hard to resist taking this photo, Martine. Merci.

An inviting gateway into autumn with a palette of beautiful colors! Great capture!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Steven.
oh yeh! love Acadia! great bridge
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Ryan. Sounds like you know the place and can attest to its beauty.
The colours are superb and this old bridge is also magnificent, I really like your composition Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Many kind thanks, Marie!

A nice looking rustic bridge
Ginnie Hart: I thought so, too, Chris.
On dirait bien que les saisons passent moins vite ..magnifique couleur !
Ginnie Hart: As far as I'm concerned, Autumn is STILL here...until it's not! HA! Merci.

This represents Autumn, Ginnie. The colours, the location, everything. What a beautiful day it was.
Ginnie Hart: More Autumn we could not get that day. Bedankt, Astrid.
Il est magnifique ce vieux pont entouré d'arbres.
Très jolie photo.
Bonne journée Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Merci, Pascale. Our hearts were full that day.
Gorgeous. Same here with autumn. The fuchsias are still flowering!

Mind you there is a hard frost this morning so that might put paid to that!
Ginnie Hart: Hard frost here, too, Bill, but the tree outside our balcony window still has most of its yellow leaves hanging.

I do like that bridge Ginnie, solid and rustic.
Ginnie Hart: It reminds me of the old country from whence it came, Chad! smile
Wat een sfeervolle en kleurrijke herfstfoto, doet zelfs Japans aan.
Ginnie Hart: So, it even has a zen feel to it, Marjolein? smile

Un magnifique pont de pierres
JP
Ginnie Hart: Indeed, JP, and probably photographed by millions of people over the years!
weird weather all around... climate change! makes for a pretty picture tho smile
Ginnie Hart: The tree outside our balcony still is full of its yellow leaves, Elaine. Hmmm. I'll have to pay attention to when it's bare.
What a seasonal picture, Ginnie! I'm sure that drive was a pleasure smile
Ginnie Hart: Indeed so, Martin. It's hard to forget such a place.
Frozen II just came out a week or two ago. The trees are all barren in my neighbourhood now. What climate change? That's a lot of BS, G. But you better believe my BS. Mine definitely tastes better than Trump's pork pies.

And by the way, I love the bridge side "doors". Do Oompa Loompas live there? How can they not turn that Oompa Loompa song into a Christmas song? It's utterly catchy.
Ginnie Hart: I LOVE those Oompa Loompa side doors, LC, and think we could come up with all kinds of stories for them. HA! No BS.
What a lovely autumn picture, great colours and a fine old bridge. Oh' and the lead through yellow line is just in the right place, they must have known you were coming along to take a picture smile
Ginnie Hart: It's fun, Brian, isn't it. Now that I think of it, I was standing on the Britisher side of the road while taking this. smile
What a lovely composition with the sweeping curve and little stone overpass.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Mary!

This is a lovely scene. Interesting that the road is leaveless.
Ginnie Hart: Hmmmm. Interesting observation, Louis. Hmmmm.
Gorgeous autumn colors. Friendship
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Ruthie.

This is a beautiful autumn shot. I love the stone bridge. Winter hit hard here today with snow and icey rain
Ginnie Hart: We've been watching the weather reports in America from the Netherlands, Beth, wondering how everyone is faring. It seems that wintry weather has started way too early?

een prachtige herfstfoto met dat mooie bruggetje Ginnie...

november was volgens de metingen heel normaal, zonder uitschieters

greetings
Ginnie Hart: Bedankt, Willy. You're not that far south of us, so I wonder what "they" mean about these things?
Lovely place! Yes, I guess our leaves were at least two or three weeks late in falling.
Ginnie Hart: So, you, too? Hmmm. It does make you sit up and take notice, Tom, doesn't it.
Lovely shot Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir.

Boston is not too bad. We should end up with about 6-8 inches I love the feeling of peace form being forced to cancel all plans and stay indoors. Other parts of the US are having a more difficult time.
Ginnie Hart: When things are cancelled because of "natural disasters," Beth, there's always that feeling of everyone being in the same boat and having to come together to make "it" work. It maybe needs to happen more often?
That is a fantasy shot Gorgeous colours. I ;ove the two openings to the sides.
We are still waiting for our first snowfall. It is over a month late and still nothing is sight. Quite disturbing.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Michael. As to the weather, everything seems to be topsy-turvy of late, which I guess climate change is all about!

Ginnie Hart: HA! It's all in the details, Alan, isn't it. smile

That's an amazing find! Our fall has fallen...all under SNOW! Like your leading lline (in just the right color for this image.)
Ginnie Hart: We've been paying attention to the weather news there, Bonnie, and can't believe how much snow has fallen already. Please stay safe and warm.
