The pigeon looks like he's scoping out his new digs. Great find!
Ginnie Hart: Definitely getting the lay of the land, Steven. Thanks.

Built by the Roman Empire, from which to allow this pigeon a good view of passing people..
Ginnie Hart: Indeed so, Chris. It was a lovely surprise for us that day.

I like the unusual combination of capital, pigeon and wild flower, Ginnie. You are very observant
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Lisl. It all did catch my eye!

This is beautiful, Ginnie and I like the flowers behind the pillar too.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Astrid.
This pigeon is curious to find a nice perch to admire what's going on in the street. Nice capture Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Merci, Marie. It was a delightful little courtyard full of Roman charm.
Magnifique prise de vue ...lieux privilegiés des pigeons bien souvent ,j'adore !
Ginnie Hart: I'm sure it's an honor to call this place home, Claudine. smile

The pigeon could not find a better place to have some overview - a very fine composition!
Ginnie Hart: I think the pigeons get to choose the best locations anywhere they go, Philine! smile Bedankt.
I suspect he left his calling card Ginniegrin
Ginnie Hart: I'm sure he did, Bill, but thankfully not on me. smile

I hope your going is better than the pigeon's. He is looking for spilt chips. Makes a good picture though.
Ginnie Hart: HA! I'm quite sure he was looking for something that didn't include me, Louis. smile Thanks.

Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Andy. I thought so, too. smile
There is a real 3D effect here. Love the pop of colour.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Care. I was glad for how it turned out.
Master of everything he can see.

Such lovely textures here!! Love the touch of nature (bird/flowers) against the ancient stones. Nice frame.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Bonnie. It ended up being a nice combination of what I saw.
I like the weathered details of the architecture and the clarity of the bird. Friendship
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Ruthie. Nothing like the Roman feel to this place in the world.
All pillars need a pigeon!
Ginnie Hart: HA! Apparently so, Tom.
A delightful image, Ginnie! smile
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir.
that pigeon has found a great place to build a nest Ginnie....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: Or to flit back-n-forth to another trysting spot, Peter? smile
Did you visit Matera?
It's not far away from Bari.

Rained a lot in Belgium.
Still had a great time there though. Leuven is my favourite.
Ginnie Hart: No, we didn't visit Matera, LC. But I can attest to the beauty of Leuven in Belgium. I still can't believe you were so near us!!!
