What a unique and eye-catching floral blossom! The color is beautiful and I love the serrated edges of the foliage. Happy Birthday to Bill!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Steven. Bill loves his flowers, so this is a tribute to him.
Quelles jolies fleurs ! Joyeux anniversaire Bill !
Ginnie Hart: Merci, Martine.
A super shot Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir. It was somewhere in England back in 2018.
What a lovely plant - look at those leaves!! A fitting tribute to our friend!
Ginnie Hart: I took this somewhere in England back in 2018, Elizabeth, so it seemed perfect for Bill today. Thank you.

I hope you didn't get too close to this plant Ginnie, the seeds EXPLODE off them when ripe
Ginnie Hart: At 1531 mm, Chris, you can be sure I was sufficiently far enough away. BTW, this was taken somewhere in your fair country back in 2018.
Très belle cette fleur , tu connais son petit nom Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Merci, Claudine. I'm not totally sure what this is. I thought it was a snapdragon but maybe it's not?

Such beautiful Himalayan Balsam, now mugging our native vegetation, believe it or not. Happy Birthday Bill
Ginnie Hart: Aaaaah. So THAT'S what this is, Lisl! Thank you for the name. The only thing I could come up with was snapdragons but I could tell that wasn't quite right!

This is such a wonderful flower, Ginnie and quite. What a great colours. As a child I always had to touch them and see them explode.
Happy birthday to Bill.
Ginnie Hart: LOL, Astrid. I can just picture you trying to make them explode as a child. You haven't changed a bit. grin
Oui , merci pour le petit nom c'est bien ça Bonne journée Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: I have found out it is a Himalayan Balsam flower, Claudine, and NOT a snapdragon: https://www.plantlife.org.uk/uk/discover-wild-plants-nature/plant-fungi-species/himalayan-balsam

een heerlijke bloemen-foto Ginnie..

en een mooi citaat van Lao Tzu..

felicitaties voor Bill.

een fijne dag gewenst
Ginnie Hart: Bedankt, Willy. Bill loves his flowers so I felt this was appropriate for his special day.
What delicious flower. I don't think I've ever seen one. See you soon Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: It was new to me, too, Marie. Merci.
We don't have Himalayan balsams (Impatiens glandulifera) in Malaysia. But balsams (Impatiens balsamina) are very common.
Ginnie Hart: They're new to me, too, LC. I'm learning all about them here in Europe.
What a lovely flower you've found.
Ginnie Hart: I thought so, too, Brian, from somewhere in your fair country back in 2018.
I am a big fan of doing nothing!!! beautiful flower.
Ginnie Hart: HA! Good for you, Ryan. We ALL need to do nothing some of the time! Thankas.

Wonderful Ginnie, a great photo! smile
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir.
As my father used to say "Holy doodle." That is a beauty.
You should press one and send it to Bill.
Ginnie Hart: I'd have to go back to England to find one, Michael, I guess?! smile

Lovely DOF..really brings out the sharp leaf edges..beautiful.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Bonnie.
Ta photo est très jolie, tout comme cette fleur dont j'ignore le nom.
Bonne journée Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: I found out from Lisl that it's a Himalayan Balsam, Pascale. Apparently if you touch it, they burst open and spit out their seeds. smile
this is a wonderful picture of the snapdragons Ginnie...
i'm sure that Bill liked flowers for his birthday....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: Actually, Peter, I found out it's NOT a snapdragon but a Himalayan Balsam, which is quite different. I love getting my education on SC. smile
