Gone Fishing
This is a short series of images from the Michigan cottage over our July 4th holiday weekend.
These are the same fishers from yesterday, up close and more personal. I couldn't resist one more look. [Today I'm in Amsterdam.]

I love how you've processed today's image..and your chosen foreground. A beautiful spot!
Ginnie: This was the same spot as yesterday, Marcie, zoomed in. I just had to show them closer through the pontoon boat in the foreground.
I am glad you couldn't resist, this is simply fab. Ditto I love your processing.
Ginnie: Thank you kindly, Maria!
A misty morning and a lake all to themselves. I'll bet they are content.
Ginnie: Those men know that if they wait too long, the lake will soon be alive with all kinds of hubbub! THIS is truly when they have it all to themselves, before the speed boaters are allowed to turn on their engines. Thanks, Red Pen.
Great atmosphere in this scene. I like the lighting and the tones.
Ginnie: Thank you kindly, Carsten.
Ah,quiet time on the lake at the start of the day before everyone else is up. Life doesn't get any better, does it?
Very well composed, Ginnie.
Ginnie: And before the speedboats are allowed to start their engines, Kay! You forget how noisy the lake is throughout the day until you hear it in the stillness of the morning! Thank you.
hmmm....The pleasant atmosphere... with the beautiful thin fog. Focusing that was perfect, the fund produced framing that was pretty so as the depth of the photograph or the dimension of his photograph was really felt strong.
Regards From Yogyakarta Indonesia.
Ginnie: You are such a sweetheart, Bram. Thank you kindly.
Oh, how pretty. What a terrific composition with wonderful tones.
Ginnie: Thanks a million, Sherri.
This is such a really nice image. I love the tone.
Ginnie: Thank you, Kanyi. I decided it was enough different from yesterday to include it.
An incredible photograph, Ginnie!
The quality and detail of your observation is breath taking. The lighting is wonderful. For me, a perfect image
Ginnie: You are very kind, Paul. It was such a soulful moment in time for me. Thanks.
Fabulous image and processing... my only suggestion is that i would have cropped out almost all the boat distractions at the bottom ... richard
Ginnie: Your suggestion means that you would probably like my sister's image much better, Richard. She was on the dock taking pictures of the same fishers. There are no distractions in hers:

I could have been watching them all the time, but I would be fishing out there too, with you
Great picture, that fog/mist...* sigh* if those dreams might come true. Het is zoals Paul zegt, de perfect foto op het perfect monent, geweldig.
Ginnie: I think we could be quiet, Astrid, if we had to be, don't you??!!
grandiose! ta série est magnifique. j'adore
Ginnie: Merci, O-P. You know how to make my day.
Very nice, Ginnie. I like how it's composed and I like what you've done with the color.
Ginnie: Thank you, kind sir!
Love the tones Ginnie a serene time out on the lake with a friend, passing a few hours away(quietly)
Ginnie: If ever we get the Three Musketeers into one boat AND can remain quiet, that'll be the day, Tracy! It's definitely worth a try.
Love the mood captured here, very good shot Ginnie, very good
Ginnie: Thank you kindly, S&S. This is what's soulful for me.
What fun it is to just mess about on boats, Ginnie. All I have is a road to play on.
Ginnie: We must get you down to the sea again, Chad! A bunch of us would be more than glad to take you, I'm sure.
Beautiful Ginnie. The lighting is magical. I love the atmosphere!
Ginnie: So glad you like it, Richard. Thanks.
Ginie good colour tone I like the mist comming off the water.
Ginnie: That mist is always magical for me, Vintage. Thanks.
Wonderful still atmostphere, Ginnie. (:o)
Ginnie: "Still" is the operative word, Roz. I need it to slow me down!
A wonderful early morning pic! "Alles atmet Stille." I could look for hours at these both fishers and their reflections in the water and forget all things around me! Very beautiful! The sepia toning is the i-spot(I-tüpfelchen)!
Ginnie: You would love this spot on God's earth, Philine, and at this exact time of the day. So serene and tranquil. Thank you.
i love this one so calm
Ginnie: Thank you kindly, Nazanin, for stopping by and commenting. Welcome to SC!

Misty mornings on a lake you cant beat it,lovely image Ginnie and so was yesterdays.
Ginnie: I guess if anyone knows this, Michael, it is YOU! Thank you, kind sir.
Love the tone here Ginnie
Ginnie: Thank you kindly, Chantal.
Ah yes, we did have our different perspectives, how interesting!
And oh, we need one of these vessels, don't we?
Ginnie: Wouldn't that be fun, Ruth. An "old fogies" boat. HA! Speaking for myself.
you're all over the place shooting beautiful pix
you're all over the place commenting you're always replying comments you're always posting there must be lots of clones of you ginnie
Ginnie: What can I say, DrAW. Being "all over the place" is very Gemini!
There is something about the mist that makes this interesting, nicely framed by the boat as well.
Ginnie: I love the early-morning mist, Les. It's very soulful! Thanks.
Beautiful capture and processing, Ginnie.
Ginnie: Thanks a million, Bridge.
I like the boat as a foreground object for the fishermen beyond. Another fine shot.
Ginnie: For me the foreground pontoon boat became the frame through which the fishermen came to me, Don. So I kept it in. Thanks.
Dang! I just love the sepia tones on these shots, Ginnie, gives them such a classic look and feel. Makes me hark for days gone by, that, or just wish I was there with these two, fishing! lol!
Ginnie: HA! Maybe we all need to go fishing, Alex!
Great feel again to this splendid capture. Mist rising off the water gives a very calm morning, inviting you to join in.
Ginnie: Exactly, Scotia. Exactly! Thanks.
very lovely image Ginnie. Print and hang. mal
Ginnie: Thank you kindly, Mal, for your encouragement!
Lovely picture Ginnie - clever you
Ginnie: Awww, shucks. Thanks, Chris.
A great, great one. For a moment there I was thinking that this looks a lot like Ginnie's place on the lake - and then I saw it was your blog.
Ginnie: HA! You crack me up, Louis. Yes, you found my blog...and lake! Thanks.
...it really seems a very relaxing way of starting the day...among the misty silence of the awakening day. ( I must say that most of your picture convey this kind of soft beautiful quietness...)
Ginnie: You know how to start my own day, Lina. Thank you.
Wow Ginnie, die next fantastic shot ... great fealings on this one.
Ginnie: You always know how to make my day, Klaus.
Nice framing through the bits of the boat in the foreground Ginnie, and nice soft colours once again.
Ginnie: I liked it that way, Brian, those a few others didn't. Aren't you glad the photogragher gets to make the final decision?!
I love the mist coming off the water! I also love the tone!
Ginnie: Thank you most kindly, Helen.
I, see the photo here trimming around the fishermen and its reflection, the rest does not allow me to enjoy them!
Ginnie: HA! You wanted a tighter crop, I see, Jose Angel! And I wanted the added boats. I'm so glad the photographer gets to "win."
Absolutely beautiful. The composition is brilliant, and the colours are such that I can almost feel the mist.
Ginnie: I love that mist, Erinn, and thank you kindly for your comment!
Wow, love this - would be a great cover for a 'Father's Day' card!
Ginnie: That's a great idea, Kevin. Thank you.
Great view and excellent focus on this one. You are getting very good with this Ginnie
Ginnie: Thanks a million, Thomas. You still know how to make my day.
