Down but Not Out
Last impressions from the Michigan cottage over our July 4th holiday weekend. A kiddy chair from the day before will be righted in no time. The day has just begun! [Today I'm in Amsterdam.]

Hah! If only the chair could talk!
Ginnie: Yes, Maria, I know.
Love your processing..and the green tones. Nice!
Ginnie: Thank you kindly, Marcie!
There's a quiet artistry at work here, Ginnie. Kudos!
Ginnie: It was a quiet moment for me, Larry, especially as I started to think of the wee ones who love to carry these chairs around because they're small and light enough.
Get yourself up and start all over again. Another day of fun and games, time for rest is over.
Lovely tones and processing in this shot as usual mijn vreind. Up up and away, looks like today's the day
Ginnie: HA! Spoken like a pro, Tracy!
Simple.. yet nice..
Ginnie: Thank you kindly, Arun, for stopping by and commenting!
I don't know how you keep up with your travels. Wonderful colors as always.
Ginnie: I know, Sherri. Sometimes even I don't know if I'm coming or going. Believe it or not, I'm in Brussels today and tomorrow while Donica is working. I got to go with her this time, via train. I love it.
Oh, I like this photograph very much, Ginnie. Lot's of subtle why's and wherefore's in this image.
Processing, as always, first class.
Ginnie: So glad you're easy to please, Paul!
la simplicité qui fait la beauté! j'aime
Ginnie: Sometimes simplicity says more, O-P, yes. More with less. Thanks.
I'm so tired, I'll just have a little nap while no-one is looking!
Ginnie: HA! Sounds good, Pat. Me, too.
All green tones and no green thumbs, who turn is it to cut the grass LOL
Ginnie: HA! I think the grass was cut later that day, Vintage.
Must have been quite a celebration if even the kiddy chairs fell over
Ginnie: Yesw, Bill, I think you're right.
Oh yes, Ginnie, this is all you need for a good photo - a subject and a shadow. Great simple composition that speaks volumes.
Ingrid
Ginnie: I think it was the morning shadow that grabbed me when I saw this, Ingrid! Must have been. (And knowing this is so YOU!
You are showing to us, "the day after"… There are images of that no night?
Ginnie: No images from the night before, José Angel, because I was sound asleep in bed.
Love the story the picture tells
Ginnie: Thanks, Tolu. I guess we all could come up with one!
Good thing she didn't fall into the pond....I doubt she is a good swimmer, and you might not have heard her pitiful cries for help.
Ginnie: HA! When the kiddies are down by the water, they have no chance of ever falling in...without 10 adults going in after them.
abandoned it yells to me
Ginnie: Definitely abandoned, Chantal...for at least that moment.
Lovely simple image Ginnie, the processing really highlights the shot.
Ginnie: Thank you kindly, Aussie. Sometimes "simple" helps me slow down!
My imagination said: "This an authority seat that rolled". The photograph that was full of the imagination, Ginnie.
Regards from dr Yogyakarta.
Ginnie: It was fun to imagine how this "happened" like this, Bram!
Down but not out - just like the Three Stooges!
Ginnie: HA! That's the spirit, Chris.
I like this composition, Ginnie. Very medatative.
Ginnie: Chad meditating? I would bring you koffie and help make your day!
A simple concept...expressed very nicely! A fine post!
Ginnie: Thank you kindly, Don. Sometimes I need to be more simple and the reminder helps.
Where di you go ? Swimming ?
Ginnie: HA! No, Flo. After taking the picture I went up to the cottage for breakfast.
A funny title for this image playing on the green tones.
Ginnie: Sometimes I can be funny, Still.
I am down but not out yet, soon I will be out
Great picture and great processing. Bedankt voor de gezellige dag....we hebben een hoop gezien en gedaan, meer dan je weet.
Ginnie: It was PAST the children's bedtime, Woman! MAN! That was late! But bedankt voor jouw woorden at so late an hour. A truer vriend was never had! We did have such an erg goed dag. We are so lucky to have this memory of Brussels added to our list of photo hunts!
A hungover chair. The morning after the night before. A strong safety warning for adults to stay out of kiddie chairs when having a party.
