A Dream Team
This ends this series from Hawaii when we were there recently for my daughter's wedding on June 1.
Tonight we fly to Michigan from Atlanta for my family's annual July 4th reunion at the lake cottage. Seeing this image of two "partners in crime" playing on the bluff over the ocean, on the other side of Diamond Head, reminds me of all the cousins who will be playing together at the family cottage. I'll see you again on Monday. For all you Americans, have a great holiday weekend!

Have a good time Ginnie!
Ginnie: Thanks, Chris. I/we will!
Save me a chicken leg, will ya! Safe trip and have a safe 4th.
Ginnie: HA! I will save you a chicken leg, Maria, if you save me some ribs! Deal?
That looks like an excellent way to spend the 4th. You are giving me ideas!
Ginnie: You'll have to tell us what ideas materialized, Martin.
Ah! Memories of childhood here...I wish I were up there with them. Love it! Enjoy the long weekend - and have a happy, safe 4th.
Ginnie: I AM up there with them, Alex! I still love to climb trees.
lovely fun shot ginnie
how do you do your conversion?
Ginnie: I have PS CS3, DrAW, and have a regular process I go through to get to this look. If you're serious, I can try to write it down for you step by step. Thanks.
I can imagine these two would love this framed and hanging in their rooms. What a treasure. Excellent capture and processing.
Ginnie: I think they were/are sisters, Sherri, because it looked like their dad was close by. But then, they may have been best friends, living in their own little world. I used to LOVE living in my special tree-world, even into my high school years. It was a place of retreat for me! Thanks.
Climbing trees is always fun.Enjoy your 4th of July celebrations
Ginnie: I still do it to this day, Vintage!
Nice weekend treat! Thanks and Happy 4th of July!
Ginnie: Have a great weekend yourself, Yinks.
Wonderful stuff.
The kids and the tree look like they were designed for each other. Superb composition, in every respect, Ginnie.
Ginnie: The trees love climbers, Ray, I'm sure of it. I have fallen in love with trees and will never forget them! Thanks.
Partners in crime.....ik heb hier een erg brede glimlach van oor to oor.
Ginnie this one is so priceless, I can picture myself into that tree with a good friend, I have climbed many trees when I was younger, I am not going to say when I was a kid, I still feel like a kid every once in a while, nothing wrong with that, Ray is so right, this tree was made for those two kids. Great tones, you master this so well. Enjoy your stay with your family, have lots of laughter meer dan je weet.
Ginnie: Jouw glimlach is mijn, Astrid!
A fabulous photograph capturing the simple fun of childhood.
Ginnie: In this case, Paul, I will always be a kid! Thanks.
I agree with all comments. The girls seem to collect some fruits or..., for I see a bucket - And there is an other "dream team" in Netherlands! A safe flight, I am on the way to Hamburg in order to visit an exhibition over American painting (Mark Rothko a.o.), I 'll think of you and your big family in America! Good days for you all!
Ginnie: I have no idea what that bucket was for, Philine. A real mystery. It didn't appear to belong to them or their capers. And yes, you are so right because there IS another Dream Team in AMS. We could have been those girls in the tree, for sure. Thanks.
Wonderful capture Ginnie. It brings back good souvenirs to my mind. The tones are superb!
Ginnie: Thank you, Richard. I love memories like this and I do have them!
good natural shot ... great
richard
Ginnie: Thank you kindly, Richard.
Must have brought back great memories here - they sure are having fun. Enjoy your time at The Cottage.
Ginnie: Lots of great memories, Scotia. I still love to climb trees!
Have a good celebration. Hang on you are celebration giving us the elbow!
Ginnie: HA! Well, I'm not sure I would have done that to you, Bill. But it is what it is, I guess.
A great photo, also of "Boys will be boys" apart from the fact that these are not boys.
Have a good time!
Ginnie: Oh yes, Wim, and girls will be boys, some of them!
Girls doing my favorite thing to do as a kid! Love it!
Ginnie: Me, too, Mary. I even had my own special tree through high school!! Thanks.
Have a great time! Love the picture as usual. Reminds me of all the antics I got up to in my childhood.
Ginnie: I would love to see YOUR antics, Etomi!
Yes we are all kids at heart, and I also see myself climbing that tree. As it happens only last week I was doing the same thing
Cracking shot Ginnie. The tones and the composition are both great. Have a wonderful family gathering and enjoy the 4th July celebrations.
Ginnie: Can't you just see the Three Musketeers having a heyday in some tree somewhere!
Great capture of the joys of childhood. Love the bucket hanging from the tree! Have a good holiday weekend.
Ingrid
Ginnie: The joys of childhood, Ingrid, never grow old! Thanks.

Have a great July 4th weekend. I loveee family reunions. This picture is so peaceful...looks like something out of the little house on the prairie.
Ginnie: I love that thought, Ngozi! Thank you for it...and welcome back!
I kept to my promise and did not look at Astrid's blog, Ginnie, although I expect it was a picturit of a cat eye on a bike. This is terrific btw.
Ginnie: You are such a good boy, Chad!
Lovely fun shot,
Have a fun reunion
Ginnie: Thank you kindly, S&S.

Great playtime shot, and the beach is nearby!
Ginnie: Always the beach nearby, Clarence. Always. That's what makes Hawaii so incredible, I guess! Thanks for stopping by again.
Boy. somebody was having a good time! Well captured.
Ginnie: Yup! It brought back all kinds of wonderful memories, John. Thanks.
Back to Michigan. Hope you'll treat us with pictures of your sister's barn again.
Ginnie: Actually, that's next month, Viktor. This month/trip is the lake cottage. I'll see if there's anything new under the sun to capture.
The Health and Safety people in the U.K.would have fits if they saw this shot of two young people so obviously enjoying themselves Ginnie.
Nice shot to start your holiday period, have a good time.
Ginnie: HA! So true, Brian. Just think of all those wild and crazy things we did all those years ago and we're still alive to tell about them!
A great image to process with this great looking toning. I like the composition very much. The limbs with the cousins positioned so nicely makes for a fine picture.
Ginnie: Thank you, kind sir.
Ginnie, as always in last time, very good treatment .. specially the toning .. so nice. I think Hawaii was inspired for you .. ;-)
Ginnie: There's not much that doesn't inspire me, Klaus. I feel very lucky! Thank you.

Could be you and me? And what a cute sand bucket in the tree too.
I, for one, am getting INTO the water with the kids this time. Hope it's hot enough. Yay!
Ginnie: HA! My swimsuit is already packed, Ruth. I'll probably join you.
Its like the jump over the ocean , or might fall in the sea ? Nt true of course, This way I cn picture Hawaii, as nice as the Maldives? How your knee? My arm still the same.
Take care and greetings fromJoAnn
Ginnie: The ocean is always there everywhere you look, JoAnn. That's one of the splendors of that neck of the woods! My knee is getting better and better every day...almost as good as new.
Love it, just love it Ginnie and I had forgotten all about the 4th so have fun for me !

A great picture and as always I like your conversion. Have a stunning time doing the american thing, I have to work :-(
can a play in the trees with this view? the pp makes this feel magical
Looks like they were having fun. Amazing branches in these trees. Love the tones in this shot, great composition with the trees and ocean in the background.
Nice shot - reminds me of my childhood when we cousins used to play on the coffee trees at our ancestral home! You have a great July 4th reunion Ginnie
have a great holiday weekend too!
The sepia tones give an intemporel mood to this fine scene.
Have a wonderful holiday, Ginnie! I wish you and your family a great time together. More memories to be forged, more stories to tell.
Love this photograph too, of course.

They look like they are having too much fun. Have fun in Michigan.
Ginnie: I know, Helen! I agree. Thanks.
I like the tones and the lighting and the shadows. The scene is wonderful.
Ginnie: Thank you kindly, Carsten.
Reminds me of the days when I was light enough, and young enough to be in a tree and not look silly! Great capture again Ginnie, have a awesome weekend!
Ginnie: Some trees can hold the biggest of us, Brian!
Ginnie, Love this photo. Aside from being a fantastic shot it reminds me of Brooke climbing in her favorite tree on the beach at the Sheraton Waikiki. Waiting to hear that you are home safe and had a wonderful time.
Ginnie: It reminds me of all kids everywhere, Judy, whose best toys are free!
Nicely captured.. I like the energy these kids are portraying..
