Ginnie Hart: Thanks, David.
Great shot Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks a million, Bridge.
Nice shot here granny :d
Ginnie Hart: You're a sweetheart, Nacha! smile
This is a wonderful shot, Ginnie! I want to sit in that window and read the paper smile
Ginnie Hart: Me, too, Martin. smile Thanks.
Ah, what a marvelously relaxing picture...B-) Makes me look forward to the weekend! Great capture, Ginnie. B-)
Ginnie Hart: Glad to make you look forward to the weekend, H! smile Thanks.
This must be the city equivalent of sitting on the front porch, I guess. smile
Ginnie Hart: HA! Hadn't thought of that, Karen, but I think you're right.
I can relate to that, if I'm not working, I like nothing more on Saturday morning.
Ginnie Hart: Isn't that the truth, Aussie!
Oh nice Ginnie... Feeling like relaxing too... Zeeeeeennnnnn attitude !
Ginnie Hart: HA! A zen moment in time! I like that, Roland.
Missed you Ginnie. And this picture shows me why. I think UK citizens can learn a lot from their dutch neighbours
Ginnie Hart: Missed you, too, Busola. Welcome back! We all can learn a lot form the Dutch! smile

Ah, that's the life! It's the little things like this that I love so much about visiting other countries and other cities. With globalisation gone mad, the overview is all becoming too sadly similar.

And just look at the beautiful details in the stone window surround! Definitely. Absolutely. I have to spend some time in Amsterdam.
Ginnie Hart: Come on over, Jimbo! You're gonna love it here. smile
Nice one Ginnie. smile
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Sarthak! smile
Un buen lugar para leer el periódico. Otros buscan lugares en los parques ! Yo tengo un vecino frente a mi casa que tambien hace lo mismo !

A good place to read the newspaper. Others look for places in the parks! I in front of have a neighbor my house that also does the same!
Ginnie Hart: You can read the newspaper and look at the "action" any time you want! Thanks, Jose.
Hasta que he llegado aquí, pensaba que estaba conociendo a la Ginnie de a pie de calle !! pero veo que vuelves a tus alturas !! smile

Until I have arrived here, it thought that it was knowing the Ginnie a foot street! but I see that you return to your heights! smile
Ginnie Hart: HA! Always looking up, Jose. smile

I see that Amsterdam's people see the world through their windows, and the world sees them through the same (thinking back on the Red Light photo). This is so cool
Ginnie Hart: Well said, Ruth. I like that! smile
Lovely image Ginnie. Like the texture picked up in the brickwork and the architectural details around the window. I only hope she doesn't forget where she is when she puts her newspaper down!! David.
Ginnie Hart: HA! I agree, David! I have a feeling she's done this before. smile
I love this Ginnie, great shot and lovely tones too. I'm going to give it a go!
Ginnie Hart: We can sit in our windows here as well, Jose Ann. When the organ grinder comes by on Fridays, I always sit in the window and watch him. grin

Nice hangout ;~wink

Hope you have a lovely weekend, Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks a million, Deb. You, too.
brilliant...one of the few shots thes days that you can applaud for the shot itself without the intervention of processing...
Ginnie Hart: Awwww. Thank you kindly, Sam. That means a lot coming from you!
Love it Ginnie, this is something i would do whilst doing the crossword when on holiday. Would not be able do it at home as i live in a bungalow...
Ginnie Hart: Exactly, Tracy. I wish I had paid attention to how many stories up she was. Maybe 3.
grin grin So funny! Perfect framing and a pp that woks so well in this candid. Well-spotted, Ginnie!. You really don't miss a thing...
Ginnie Hart: You're so kind, Lina. I really DO miss a lot (I always find out later!) but I AM paying more attention with every day. That feels good. smile
Really strong shot - I think these semi candid shots that you catch are special and amongst your best work. They are simple and straightforward but speak volumes about everyday life in the city. Look forward to more. Cheers Mike.
Ginnie Hart: Hmmm. These words of yours are very kind, Mike. I want to pay attention to what you are saying about these everyday shots. Maybe I do need to make more of them! Thanks for your comment.

Only when the sub shines. Excellent capture and mono presentation.
Ginnie Hart: Yup, Louis, only when the sun shines! So far this year, my experience in Amsterdam is that the rain comes for a bit and then stops--sun comes out--and then maybe it'll rain again, or not. It's actually been very pleasant, from my POV, but then I happen to really like rain.

Thanks. Hope you're having a good, relaxing weekend.
Lol smile Optimist and funny picture - A clever use of B&W !
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Zeb. smile
Another nice candid. Well spotted. All the best, Dave.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Sir David!

What a life, relaxing and reading the paper when everyone else is hard at it hammering the keyboard.

Ever getting better, good candid shot and well processed.
Ginnie Hart: HA! Hammering the keyboard! Hmmm. Guess we all need a break at some point!

Thanks, Les!

I love this shot, Ginnie. It's fabulous, and gives me a sense and feel on what lazy Saturday mornings are all about. smile
Ginnie Hart: Isn't that the truth, Kay!!!
Nice! That‘s what I love about weekends. Newspaper, coffee and some place to watch the life passing by. smile
Ginnie Hart: Me, too, John. smile Thanks for backtracking.
