So charming and alive... I can tell he's a ham...
Ginnie Hart: I don't know about the ham part, Larry, but he seemed to know what he was doing.
Joyful from an accordian? That just doesn't sound right.
Ginnie Hart: HAHAHA, Michael. I have read so many crazy quotes about accordions to realize it's not the favorite instrument of many. grin

a really nice street scene
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Sherri.
A very pleasant shot, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir.
You've made a wonderful image out of this, Ginnie! Love it! And I do get a mid-week break... I have Wednesday off! YAY! smile
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Elizabeth, and YAY for you!!! Enjoy every minute of it.
Magnifique scène de rue.
Ginnie Hart: Merci, Martine. It's always a joy to see.

He knew what he was doing and he picked a nice spot, underneath the Dom Tower, nice acoustics smile.
Great presentation here, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Astrid. I have a feeling it's his designated spot! And what a good spot for catching people walking through to the cathedral.
Sympa ton instantané.
J'aime croiser ces musiciens des rues.
Bonne Journée Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Merci, Pascale. I think they're so brave to do what they do.

He likes to make music - I can imagine the scene - what a beautiful treatment!
Ginnie Hart: Bedankt, Philine. He sure knew what he was doing.

Looks a jolly chap. I expect his sunny disposition will hopefully boost his makings.
Ginnie Hart: He definitely scored some coins from me, Alan...which then made me feel I had free access to his every look. A win-win.

He looks a jolly fellow Ginnie. I wish I could play the accordion.
Ginnie Hart: My mom was a pianist and an organist in my dad's church, Chad, and when they went on trips to the City Rescue Mission, she would always take her accordion for her own accompaniment. I grew up with that.
Oh, daar word je toch blij van ?
Mooie passende `editing` er om heen.
Ginnie Hart: Bedankt, Marjolein. I do so much enjoy these scenes. smile

The sound must have brought back childhood memories, Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Indeed so, Lisl. The accordion was my mom's traveling piano. smile
so somebody, other than the polka king, found a way to make a living with an accordian lol... great picture, i love it!!
Ginnie Hart: I have seen so many good quotes about the accordion, Elaine. I had no clue that it's "a joke" to so many people. But not to me, of course. smile Thanks.
He seems to be enjoying whatever he is playing.
Ginnie Hart: He clearly knew what he was doing, Bill.
haha, it's not a joke... 'mama's got a squeeze box she wears on her chest and then when daddy get home he never gets no rest... lala playin' all night, coz the music is right, mama's got a squeeze box, daddy never sleeps at night'
Ginnie Hart: HAHAHA! Ok, then. It's NOT a joke. grin

Great capture of this musician as passersby are greeted by a charismatic smile!!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks,Steven. He seemed very game for the role he's playing.
LOVE the title! SO appropriate for this portrait. You have captured the emotion od this so beautifully.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you most kindly, Ruthie.
His face is in a soulful lament. Wonderful.
Ginnie Hart: Indeed so, Mary.

That painful expression reminds me of joggers. You always think they enjoy the activity, until you study their faces.

Great conversion, again.
Ginnie Hart: Once I tossed in mu coins, Louis, and started taking his picture, I think he suddenly became a bit self-conscious. HA!

He certainly looks like he is enjoying himself.
Ginnie Hart: And he knew exactly what he was doing, Cherry. He deserved every coin he received.
buskers are good for the spirit Ginnie... i always drop some money into their jar....peter|smile
Ginnie Hart: I do, too, Peter, and then feel totally un-guilty about taking as many photos as I want. smile
I love the sound of accordians, my late uncle was a real expert and used to play one in a dance band many years ago. I never did find out what happened to it after he passed on. Apart from that this is a fine picture.
Ginnie Hart: I, too, Brian, have fond memories of my mom playing the accordion as her traveling piano when she and dad went to the City Rescue Mission. You never forget those things.
I used to play electric organ when I was little way back in Malaysia.

I would say it's more difficult to play the accordion.
Ginnie Hart: Actually, my daughter played the accordion when she was in 5th grade, LC, and then "converted" to the piano. smile Those are fun memories.
Carpe diem, I think you did, beautiful expression of the subject.

ps. can I ask you what do you use for the frames? smile
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Claudio. My frames are easily done in Photoshop, something that seems to work for me.

Aw..love the look on his face. Love your technique!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you and thank you, Bonnie. He was following his bliss. smile
i think this is a well timed shot, Ginnie - i like him with that tilt of his head to one side.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Ayush. After tossing my coins, I think he was a bit self-conscious when he realized I was taking photos of him.
That accordion is gorgeous!
Ginnie Hart: Yes, it is, Robin. smile
