Fine pic that reminds me of a painting we had that was created during WW1 by my Mum's Mum.

I think we have a memorable weekend coming up...
Ginnie Hart: I guess that would mean during the worst of times we need "calm, cool and collected," Ray??!!

Ginnie Hart: Merci, Martine. I love these hidden places in Venice.

This is a wonderful picture, Ginnie. It breathes a calmness found in the "back-canals" of Venice. Sad to see all the decay though. Love the reflections.
Ginnie Hart: I loved scenes like this in Venice, Astrid. I didn't even notice the decay...but you can definitely see how high the water has risen there in the past. Bedankt.
Oh I just love this! Lovely comp & processing, Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Elizabeth. I fell in love with the Venice bits away from the other tourists!

the reflection is my favorite part

so very beautiful
Ginnie Hart: Mine, too, Sherri. Thanks.
Pas d'erreur, on reconnaît bien Venise, même en sépia ;-)
Bonne journée Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Venice does that to us, Pascale, doesn't it! Merci.
You mentioned a 'photographers dream' Ginnie....This is one of mine. A lovely photo, glad YOU were able to take it. smile
Ginnie Hart: How very sweet of you, Frank. Thank you.

Bits of Venice not in the tourist brochures
Ginnie Hart: Exactly, Chris. You need to stay there for a few days to have the time to find these places!

Oh, I admire your treatment to capture the spirit of Venice I love so much! Yes, today we are expecting temperatures of 30 degr. C. Tomorrow I'll visit the glasshouses of Laeken and Bruxelles.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, dear Philine. We broke our heat record yesterday here in the Netherlands for April 19th. Staring today it's supposed to cool down a bit. Tomorrow we'll be meeting up with Ayush in Utrecht. Happy days to us both.

I like this more run down view of Venice Ginnie, I always like to get away from tourists hotspots as you know.
Ginnie Hart: Yes, I know, Chad, and we're so much on the same page! Thanks.
Wat een mooi sfeertje heb je gecreeërd en jullie ook een fijn weekend
Ginnie Hart: Bedankt, Marjolein. We'll be meeting up with a friend in Utrecht tomorrow and are looking forward to it.

nice pic!!! are people's front doors really on the water??
Ginnie Hart: Well, I don't know if it's their FRONT doors, Elaine, but, yes, that makes it easier to get the groceries in and out, right? smile
I really liek this style you have adopted for your presentations Ginnie. No mistaking where this is, and what a reflection.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir.
It's boiling hot today!
How can I keep calm, G? wink
Ginnie Hart: I get that, LC. I do NOT do "hot" well!

Excellent view of this cozy canal with beautiful reflections!! Thankfully the weekend will be more warm than cool....finally! smile
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Steven. And now WE need it to cool off a bit. Crazy weather patterns of late. (sigh)
What a beautifully composed scene - like a work of art. I like the timeless appeal. Friendship
Ginnie Hart: Most kind of you, Ruthie. Thank you.
So much to see here,Ginnie. The long focal length crowds everything together.
Ginnie Hart: Venice is definitely like that, Mary: crowded!
Beautifully presented Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir.
