this is an excellent Boat Friday Ginnie... and i lust love the village....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Peter. It was a rainy day for us but it did NOT keep us from loving that quaint place!
Jolie scène, j'aime le nom du magasin.
Ginnie Hart: Merci, Martine. It's fun, isn't it!
Very nice. I like the mistiness of the distant part of the scene.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Michael. It was a rainy sort of day, making everything feel a bit mystical.
i like the strong colours that pop even through the misty environment, Ginnie. have a good weekend.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you and thank you, Ayush!!

I think I'll try the fish'n'chippery, Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: Of course you would, Ray. You have enough of your own amusements elsewhere. smile
A nice shot, Ginnie, I have been here a few times.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Frank. It's a lovely place to spend a few hours, even on a rainy day!

This is a fabulous picture, love all the blue in this and good memories here too.
I am always amused when it is weekend again... for me 10 hours and 50 minutes away...am I counting grin...
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Astrid, and I know you're "amused," as I am for you/us. WEEKEND!

I just love the old harbour walls. The steps down to the water look to be from a later time. I wonder why the restaurant says "Fish and seafood"; surely seafood would suffice?
Ginnie Hart: I love the harbor walls, too, Alan, especially since I didn't row up with them. But your question about Fish & Seafood does bear repeating. Hmmm.

Chris [Tiff] treated me to Fish'n'chips at Swanage...now I salivate whenever I see the picture of a fish'n'chippery, as with this fine image! smile
Ginnie Hart: I totally "get it," Ray. There's nothing like the real thing in the real place in the real country. Nothing.

Lovely place but the downside of Cornwall, for me, used to be that rain and mist..
Ginnie Hart: To be honest, Chris, the rain and mist have only added to the Cornwall charm for both Astrid and me. But then, it hasn't yet rained on our parade. smile
how did they get out of the boat? hmmm? the stairs are like waaay over there, and the ground is like waaaay up there... and how can you be amused without 'why him?' on netflix? lol jk great shot, my friend...
Ginnie Hart: If you squint your eyes, Elaine, you might see the metal ladder at the side of the boat on the wall, which is the answer to your question. That Amusements store made me crack up!

Cornwall is so special, and perhaps being a long way away keeps it so Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: I suppose you're right about the distance...making the heart grow fonder, Chad!
Nice atmosphere and place
Ginnie Hart: Even on a rainy day, Marie. smile

I know this place, too, Ginnie - good that you have taken me back. Will be visiting Cornwall later in the month
Ginnie Hart: You know how much we have grown fond of Cornwall, Lisl. Wish we coud go back with you. smile

This is a great shot. I find the red highlights very interesting. Even with the people walking down the ally.
Ginnie Hart: Gotta love the colors on a rainy day, Louis!

Beautiful view up the hillside from the harbor!! The residences must have some splendid views.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Steven, and I'm sure of it.
The colour blue stands out well in the mist or rain. Very nice.
Ginnie Hart: Indeed so, Mary. I'll never forget this place.
The boat matches the amusements well Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: I thought so, too, Bill. Maybe it's their prop! HA!
Ha ha... Amusements, fish and chips and doughnuts. Three things you won't miss by the sea here!

Have you been to Blackpool?
You can get donkey rides there!
Ginnie Hart: No, I have not been to Blackpool, LC. Hmmm. So many places to see but so little time....
I didn't take the time to read other comments...so sorry if repeating...but as much as we all like nice weather when we take trips...the myst and the wetness added so much to this image! I love how you two just roll with it!
Ginnie Hart: This really was a rainy for us in Looe, Robin, but it really DID add to the ethos of the place. You know us well, and you, too, know how to roll with the punches. There's really no better alternative!
You have an eye for these quaint places Ginnie...
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Larry. I think they come and find me!
