you have made this full of impact with the clever selective colouring, Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Ayush. I have never seen so many neon-colored gloves like this. It would have been a shame to leave them B&W, IMHO. smile

It will continue for at least another month, Ginnie...just leaving enough time to get in new stock and make an early start of next year's retailing bonanza.
Ginnie Hart: Year after year. It amazes me, Ray, how much we think we need!

It seems to be a particularly grabby time, over here, too, GInnie
Ginnie Hart: (sigh) When will we/they ever learn???

Haha - a wonderful observation and critical image! Lisl is right! Great selective colour photo!
Ginnie Hart: You know me, Philine. I will always "select" whatever stands oput to me. smile Thanks.

I love the neon colours, they will do great on the bike, you will be seen for miles.
Great shot and I love the selective colouring. As for the grabbing hands, when I was a window dresser and we had to get the sale-bin, we revered to those as hyena-bins.....
Ginnie Hart: These grabbing hands actually surprised me, MLMA. It's not something I usually see at the Christmas market, so this one stood out. It must have been those neon colors, indeed. smile

I hope so too Ginnie, I'll be glad when it's all over after several months of hype..
Ginnie Hart: Astrid and I decided to make it a tradition of driving the 15 miles to Kinderdijk every Christmas morning, Chris...rain, snow or shine. It is so calming to walk amongst the windmills with almost no one around to disturb the peace.

I like very much this processing which highlights the color of mitts but it is so cold this morning at my home when I prefer to put on whole gloves
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Marie. But here in the Netherlands we are still way too warm for this time of the year, with the wind coming from the SW (ocean). We need the wind to change to the NE (Russia)...with hopefully a chance for snow???!

I'm pleased to say I'm all done; thankfully out of the way fro anotehr year. the selective colouring works well here. I wonder what the recipuents will think of their bright gloves?
Ginnie Hart: Good for you, Alan...and thank you. As Astrid says, they will be seen for miles. smile
I believe it is Cyber Monday today. We did our food shopping for Christmas yesterday and it wasn't too bad. It will get far worse as the week goes on and people buy enough food to feed about 50 people. The Supermarkets are open on Boxing day!! I feel really sorry for the people who have to work in retail on Boxing day. Shops should not be allowed to open on Boxing day.

Rant over....nice picture grin
Ginnie Hart: What you say about Boxing Day is how most of us feel about Black Friday (the day afteir our Thanksgiving) in America, Bill. (sigh) Let's all relax this week and enjoy the season!
The best way of making your choice is to grab the whole thing, choose a pair and then put it back...Selective colouring is very appropriate here!
Ginnie Hart: Now that's an idea, Richard! grin Thank you.
It ain't over till the fat lady grabs them!

Now, would you be kind enough to find me a pair of XXXL mittens?
Ginnie Hart: I think you've got it, LC! Makes sense to me. grin But a pair of XXXL mittens??? They might be out of those by now!

Fingerless gloves - a must have item clearly. I did my little bit of shopping last week thank goodness.
Ginnie Hart: I should have bought a pair, Mike, since I wear fingerless gloves here in the apartment most of the winter, especially at the laptop. HA!

C'est la ruée
JP
Ginnie Hart: Yes, it is, JP. I hope you're done!
I have to find some perfect rolls for lobster rolls for a party tomorrow night. That is all.
Ginnie Hart: Well, then, Mary. You're almost done! smile
extra cette désaturation partielle!! amitiés
Ginnie Hart: Many kind thanks, JP.

Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Pat. I guess any time when is good to take photos, right?! smile

I wait for the next surge - one week into the new year the sales begin. That is when I buy clothes.

Why buy something for 100 monetary units when it will be 50 next week? I rather spend on other stuff, like a good bbq ...

Excellent conversion and title.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Louis, and I'm in total agreement (we're not dumb! and I like money too much to waste it!). Astrid and I would much rather spend our money on food and travel than just about anything else!

This makes those colours look very, very bright Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: They were NEON colors, Chad, and almost blinded me that day!

Makes a change to socks at Christmas, who has stolen the fingers? smile That said I do have a pair, but find camera handling just as easy with fingers complete.
Ginnie Hart: A good change to socks, I guess, John! I have thin enough gloves that work well with my camera, so we're on the same page. Astrid uses fingertip-less gloves.
One of your very best colour pops Ginnie, you really are the expert at this technique. I envy you being able to walk among the windmills on Christmas day.
Ginnie Hart: Most kind of you, Brian. And no matter what kind of weather, we do look forward to the Kinderdijk windmills on Christmas morning! Thank you.

Well now the Christmas sales have started so perhaps it will go on a little longer. Those gloves look like they would not be easily lost smile
Ginnie Hart: Louis said something similar...about waiting for the sales to save money, which makes all the sense in the world. That part I have no problem with. (We're not dumb, I hope!) Anyway, Astrid says you could see those gloves miles away. Hard to lose them, indeeed. smile
Nice colour popping!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Tom.

Blimey ... and they are after them inspite having all the finger tips missing
Ginnie Hart: They must be for the photographers amongst us, Richard? smile
They even have Black Monday in the Bruges Christmas Market...
great selective colour Ginnie....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: I think you may be right, Peter. smile. Thanks.
Wonderful capture of the seasonal madness Ginnie. Great use of selective colouring here.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you and thank you, Janet!
Superb work, Ginnie.

ps. I am over it. As a gift to each other, my wife and I gave money to someone in need.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Michael. At this time in our lives, we do the same. And for our early Christmas morning, we're driving 15 miles to Kinderdijk to walk amongst the 19 windmills. THAT'S the kind of gift we give to each other, year after year!
very colorful smile
Ginnie Hart: You can hardly say it better than with neon, Joshi. grin

hehe i need the opposite of those gloves, little tiny leg warmers for my fingers! i should invent those for people with sore hands smile
Ginnie Hart: Just do it, Elaine, and make your fortune! smile
I am - but love this colorful photo!
Ginnie Hart: I think the older we get the less we grab, Elizabeth...or at least I hope that's true?! Thanks.
Oh me too! Love the selective coloring...you do it so well!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Robin. You're a sweetheart. smile
