This tickles me to no end.  It reminds me of stencil painting.

Your title is so perfect!!! I just love their little feet! They are adorable!
Ginnie: Thank you, Robin. I immediately fell in love with all of them. smile
I love it Ginnie.... and with those webbed feet the title fits perfectly.... nice fun treatment... you have made me gaze in wonder and then smile todaygrin....petersmile
Ginnie: Thank you kindly, Peter. Few images have tickled me this much. HA!
This was great for some giggles!!! As graceful as a bird in flight can be - this view of the little ducky landing gear is very entertaining!!!
Ginnie: I know, Elizabeth, I know. I'm giggling right along with you. smile Thanks.
This ia absolutely amazing. They don't look real - it's pure essence of duck, floating around up there in the ether. It has the feel of a Japanese woodblock print. Gorgeous!
Ginnie: Thank you, Linda. You see this exactly as I do. A stencil. A woodblock. It makes me stare.... smile

Amazing rear view of that 'landing-gear'... smile I hope they make their way to Runway 13..it is free for landing.
Great picture, birds are so fascinating.
Ginnie: You tickle me, too, of course. grin Hartstikke bedankt, MLMA.
The perfect title for those formation flyers.
Ginnie: Thank you kindly, Michael.
I agree... stencil painting. Cool... I almost nightly hear geese honking as they pass overhead when I'm in my study.
Ginnie: Thanks, Jacquelyn. This particular area in Marken is a bird-watching paradise. I bet the neighbors hear a LOT day in and day out! smile

Brilliant! Love it! I like the way they are using their feet as flaps to help reduce their air speed.
Ginnie: Everything we learned about flying came from Mother Nature, I'm sure, Alan! smile Thanks.
I like minimalism, almost a high key
Ginnie: Merci, dear Marie.
It is amusing but a wonderful sight too Ginnie, formation flying.
Ginnie: It really is fun to freeze it and see what they're doing, Chad. Thanks.

The gulls look like little machines or air planes -een greappige foto (na de verwerking) en een fijne observatie! Marken ligt aan het IJsselmeer of waar?
Ginnie: Yes, Philine, Marken is on the IJsselmeer. It was so therapeutic to be there on Saturday, taking our time walking out on the dijk. I'll show the lighthouse on Friday. Bedankt.

all taking off
Ginnie: Actually, all getting ready to land, Chantal. smile
Never mind how far away they were still a well composed and taken capture,it just a pity they were not coming straight at you, what a capture that would have been.
Ginnie: They actually flew right past us, Peter, but I wasn't quick enough on the draw to catch them before they were almost too far away. Thanks.

I love this one Ginnie. I saw it first early on this morning, now at nearly 6 pm I can comment - but I have had it on the screen several times in between. Very clever, very well seen, and very well done.

If there is one sort of seabird we like it is these, sadly we've never gone anywhere to get near to them.
Ginnie: This whole area was a bird sanctuary, Brian, with many people out bird watching. It was a delight. Thank you.
