He looks like he is still asleep and wants to breakfast alone!!
Ginnie Hart: Chris loves playing the role of acting surprised, Cherry. Trust me: He was wide awake, the ol' rascal. smile

Caught him in the act! A moment later and he would have had egg on face...probably not for the first time, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: One would be hard-pressed, I think, to ever see Chris with egg on his face, Ray. But then, there's always the first time. smile
A fine eggsample of the old boy.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Richard, for your excellent word-play! smile
Truly - there are people who USE those eggcups? Really?!

What an absolutely fabulous photo, Ginnie. Your lens completely disarmed him.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Linda. I have used more eggcups while in Europe these last almost 2 years than in the rest of my life put together. Astrid treats me to a soft-boiled egg every Sunday morning. A real treat. smile

You'd have to know Chris. He is always playing "the surprise" and does it well, I might add.

LOL! What a great tribute to the great man! So was that his idea of doing a full English breakfast? smile
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Alan. This was what he did every morning even if we had just eaten muesli. He made us a full English breakfast on his birthday. If you scroll down this link, you'll see a collage with the whole shootin' kaboodle:

HA, the Master of English breakfast caught in action smile
I know it must have been shocking to have both an American and Dutch invasion in the kitchen, normally an oasis of peace and quiet...... wink
Thanks Chris for the fabulous Engelse Ontbijten (and all of the rest)
A likey to me, both picture and the cook smile
Ginnie Hart: We'll never forget it, MLMA, will we! The least we can do is pay tribute to him. smile Bedankt.
LOL.... the old codger still eats his eggs from an egg cup.... i like the sparkle that you caught in his eyes Ginnie....smile
Good morning Sir Christophergrin
....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Peter. As you know, this old codger is the master at faking surprise. smile
A shot to remember!!
Ginnie Hart: We for sure will remember this for a long time, Elizabeth. smile
Una bonita foto del desayuno en la granja, con una claridad y tonos excelentes.

A fine picture of your host wearing his red braces or bras - two soft- boiled eggs for breakfast or does he eat the eggs you both should acvtually enjoy? - I might look also a bit surprised as he did - thjis is the favourite weel -known facial expression of our big child! The one 'Eierbecher' looks funny. This might have been the second course of full English breakfast or did you prefer the 'abgespeckte' variant of continental breakfast?
Ginnie Hart: You know him well by now, Philine. The great faker of surprise on SC. I love it. On his birthday he cooked us a full English breakfast, which you can see in a collage here if you scroll down:

That's the look we all know from Tiff. Priceless. Wonder what he looks like if he really is surprised.
Ginnie Hart: HA! Great question, Mary. Great question!

Lol at Chad! - if Chris were as tired as as he looks on Chad's picture, we could sing a lullaby to him 'Eia popeia ...; a man with two eggs in the morning -hmmm- might have had ...- (it's better to be silent)!
Ginnie Hart: HA! LOL, indeed, Philine. You certainly have Chris all figured out. grin

Your collage is wonderful and so descriptive and informative (I posted a comment on your blog but I'm not sure if it happened).
Ginnie Hart: Awww. Thanks for the thought, Philine. Actually, it didn't take but I'm not sure why. Hmmmm.
I LOVE his expression! Great portrait.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, JP. He's quite the character. smile
The old slogan was "Go to work on an egg" what can be achieved after two - will we ever know ?

I didn't have our Chris down as a Little Endian
Ginnie Hart: HA! He surprises us all the time, Paul, doesn't he. smile
This is great Ginnie, a really nice portrait, although I see Chris has chosen his screen clash shirt, I've always found models to be unreliable, especially before breakfast smile
Ginnie Hart: HAHAHAHAHA! I love it, John. This was so fun.
Excellent capture! Ginnie wink Make me smile!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Sue. I guess you had to be there. smile
It looks like you surprised him. That is a wonderful shot.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Michael. Truth be known, Chris enjoys playing the surprised man! And he does it to perfection. smile

Portrait génial !
J'ai vraiment l'impression de le surprendre en train de manger. En regardant cette photo, c'est comme si la scène était figée et quelle reprendra son cours au moment où je passerai à la photo suivante. Une photo amusante...
Ginnie Hart: Merci, Olivier. You'd have to know Chris, but he is such a ham! smile
Two boiled eggs, he must be a growing lad.

Ha! Did you have egg soldiers?
It's very British.

Marmite for you toast? Ha! wink
Ginnie Hart: Egg soldiers? That's a new one for me, LC, so I'll have to figure that one out. My guess is NO. But Astrid can tell you all about Marmite, which she loves. I haven't tried it yet. smile Thanks.
Wow! I like! A very subtle portrait! you want to take her breakfast sn Ginnie? Too great!! Super B / W!! Good day to you.

What a terrific portrait!! So perfectly processed..and I just love the expression on his face. Wonderful!!!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Marcie. We had such a great time with our perfect host!
This is definitely one for your memory book, Ginnie. For some reason, perhaps it's the B&W, this shot reminds me of the old Cary Grant madcap comedy films.
Ginnie Hart: Yes, indeed, Beverly. We'll never forget the great time we so thoroughly enjoyed! I'm not familiar with those Gary Grant films but I'll take your word for it. smile Thank you.
