photoblog image Sharlene K

Sharlene K

Sharlene K was docked in the harbor near our condo the week we were on vacation in Ucluelet, Vancouver Island (British Columbia, Canada).  She was always there, morning and night, in fog or  sunshine, at sunrise or sunset.  We never saw her leave.  I wonder who she is and what stories she could tell!

Tomorrow I plan to show her on a sunny day.  I actually don't think she cares, just like me!

Nice shot, i wish I were there.
Ginnie: You're kind, Dotun. The photo is probably too drab for most people's tastes but it evoked memories for me of the myriad moods of this place. Tomorrow's shot will be a bit sunnier smile

There is something very inviting about this scene; I agree with Tim that it pulls me into an adventure. Now I might get seasick, mind, but it's such an unknown world to me, I am fascinated by all those masts, wires and gizmos.
Ginnie: I'm pretty sure this is a fishing boat, Ruth. Who knows what fish they specialize in catching but I'm guessing they need every one of those masts, wires and gizmos.
Super shot Ginnie, I wanna get back to sea (am ex Royal Navy). I'm going to preempt your posting of tomorrow and surmise that this is the better of the two, more atmosphere and mood. Love it. Regards, Neil.
Ginnie: HA, Neil! You may be right and I'll definitely let you be the judge. At least tomorrow you'll be able to see the mountains! smile

Looks like she's happy sitting there in the nice calm water. It's a super shot, it all looks very peaceful.

She's a trawler, built in 1966 wink http://www.world-register.org/index/S13.shtml
Ginnie: I declare, Ellie. Whoever (but YOU!) would have known how/where to find that piece of trivia! You made Sharlene's day, I'm quite sure smile Thanks.

Good morning Ginnie. That image is very beautiful. I like it. Today, in the Berry, middle of the France, it's rainning. Have a lovely week-end Ginnie.
Ginnie: Awwww. Thanks for back-tracking, Antoine. That reminds me to ask you if you have a place on your blog where you add pictures each day or so? I never know where your current photo is??
