What Grabs Our Attention?

Today is my turn again at Vision and Verb.

It's also the day I start my return trip to Holland from Atlanta,
via Chicago and London,
arriving tomorrow.  I am so ready!

From a horse pasture in Stoke on Trent, England.

Love shots like this and this is superb such clear detail and cool light, travel safe
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, JJ. We're having huge rain storms in the south right now, so I'm praying the first leg of my flight will leave on time this afternoon, at 5:40p here in Atlanta.
what a lovely shot, i hope it's not horse hair!!!
Ginnie Hart: Gulp. Actually, Elaine, it IS horse hair. But I'm guessing he got a good scratch and nothing more!
well, this certainly does, Ginnie. smile ,,,and, apparently, not only attention. smile
Ginnie Hart: Agreed, Viktor! I'm hoping the horse got a good scratch and nothing more!!!

Perfection! I love this one - and excellent processing. And what does grab our attention - this certainly would!

Safe journey! I head out Tuesday (by car) from California to Louisiana!
Ginnie Hart: OMG, Helen. You're heading into the eye of the storm, which is pummeling us even in Atlanta right now. I'm praying my 5:40p flight will be able to leave on time...so that I can make my other two connections!!! Thanks for your kind comment.

Ouch!

Great shot, Ginnie. I have a barbed wire shot coming soon...but I am thinking of pulling it after seeing this one...
Ginnie Hart: OMG, Ray. Everyone knows your shot will totally rock!!!! You better NOT pull it.
Interesting shot. Looking at this made me go through the motion of something rolling along and getting caught on the barbed wire. Way to stir up the mind. =)
Ginnie Hart: Always glad to stir things up, Brian! smile

Fabulous and superb, the light is spot on so is the focus and composition and a beautiful detail, one of your better pictures and a likey to me.
I was with you on the walk while taking pictures...
I am looking forward having you at home again....it is kind of quiet around the house.
Ginnie Hart: You sure know how to make my day, Liefste. Hartstikke bedankt. I haven't started the trip yet but I'll be home before we know it...back where I belong! tongue
Your eye for the shot is simply superb, Ginie. This is a glorious image that has so much detail, and your processing, as always, rocks.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind Paul. You and I are on the same page today. smile
Superb capture and your composition is very good. Have a great day Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Antoine. Merci.
I love the details of this beautiful photos and poetic feeling that transmits

Well spotted and great shot Ginnie. Did you see the owner by any chance? Have a good trip home.
Ginnie Hart: I'm guessing it was one of any of the 4 horses I saw, Janet. grin Maybe all 4 of them at different times? Thanks.

Ginnie Hart: Yes, Philine, horse hairs. Let's hope he got a good scratch and nothing more. smile Thanks for your good travel wishes. We're having huge rain storms here in Atlanta right now, so I'm praying my flight will leave on time (5:40p Atlanta time).

Actually this is a striking image of something quite banal Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir. smile
could well be used in an add for Amnesty International
Ginnie Hart: Good point, Chantal!!!
Wow Ginnie. You've outpassed yourself here. Truly a superb shot, a Fine Art Phorography for me, no doubt. Love this sepia/desaturated here, it really reveal patterns and textures, these herbs trying their best to softnened this metallic fence. 10/10. And all my admiration.
Ginnie Hart: Merci, Flo. You sure know how to make my day. smile

That was very observant of you. The detail is lovely.
Ginnie Hart: I love stuff like this, Cherie. Thank you.
I love this shot. I have barbed wire fences around my property but an electric strand prevents the fence from becoming a scratching post like you have captured here. This looks like an old time fence.
Ginnie Hart: Out in the fields near where Tracy lives are all these horse pastures, Mary. Astrid and I had some nice walks there...kinda like what I picture you having there in PEI. Thank you.
Have a good trip Ginnie, I hope you don't get caught up like this in any way on your journey.
Ginnie Hart: HA! I sure agree, Brian. However, the South, including Atlanta, is getting pummeled by rain storms right now. I do hope my flight leaves on time since I have two connecting flights to make before the trip back is done! Say a prayer for me, please!
You'd certainly rip your jeans on that! Have a safe trip.
Ginnie Hart: Yes, you would, Tom! Thanks.

Freedom has a price and sometimes for the finding should not be afraid to suffer. A wonderful image and very symbolic. Nice day Ginnie.

I saw this first at V&V - you did a great job on this image. Normally this most likely have grass for a background but the gorgeous lighting and black background are fantastic.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks for your support, Mark, at both places. It means the world to me (and the other women!! smile ).

Have a safe travel. Hope it's devoid of drama this time around.
Ginnie Hart: There was some drama, Maria, because of rain storms all over the south when I left Atlanta. We had to be re-routed to Chicago and I almost missed my flight to London. Made it just as the last people were boarding! Whew. I'm over it for awhile! smile

Ominous sign. The stallion jumped fence for some nooky and got caught by the short hairs. A mare trying to run away?

A great shot - happy landings.
