Hang Ten

(From our Zürich, Switzerland, trip last November.)

I'll watch your back if you watch mine!
See how the second gull is holding on by its thumbs?
Hang in there, Baby!

Have a great weekend.

Very nice shot ginnie. The back watching statement in quite funny.
Ginnie Hart: You hear that statement a lot in action movies where people have guns: "Watch my back!" And that's what came to mind, ChiChi. smile Thanks.
I love gulls in a row. Amazing about bird number two on his thumbs.
Ginnie Hart: I didn't see it until afterwards on the big screen, Mary, and then I really started laughing. grin

Stunning photo Ginnie ! What lens did you use ? ( f2.8 @ 115mm ? )
Ginnie Hart: That day I went out with my big lens, Ferdi: Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS USM. It's not the lens I use for everyday shots but it's fun to use ever so often. Thanks.
I like the way they fade away into the distance

Which reminds me - I was wondering if you had done anymore candid shots of people? Some of your best work in Amsterdam I thought. Just a gentle nudge ;o) For now I will settle for this fine capture of our feathered friends pretending to relax.
Ginnie Hart: Man! I haven't done people in a long time, Mike! But then, I haven't been around them in AMS since last August (yes, that long ago!). Sometimes I just forget, but I do take your compliment seriously. I'll keep you in mind the next time I have the opportunity. smile Thank you.

lovely work gin.

just a tad underexposed on my monitor
Ginnie Hart: Actually at f/2.8, DrAW, I was delighted it came out as bright as it did on such an overcast day. But I did add my cheap HDR effect, which I'm sure made it darker. (sigh)
That is funny. Terrific shot, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Nature sure has a way of making us smile, Michael, doesn't it! Thanks.
