Your new set-up is working hard for you Gin. All of your images of late have been very strong. You've always had an eye for the shot and now you can back it all up with your camera and lens.

j wink
Ginnie Hart: What a sweet thing to say, Johnny. Thank you!
LOL. Isn't that exactly how you feel after the big turkey meal. Great idea, ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Exactly, Mary! I think we all wanted to lie down and take a nap! smile Thanks.

I wish I could allow myself to spend a day like this, dreaming big dreams, thinking of unthinkable.
Good image for lazy Friday, Ginnie. For many Americans though, it's a day of hardcore shopping. That's why it's called here Black Friday.
Z
Ginnie Hart: Black Friday, indeed, Viktor, and thankfully, I usually avoid it. smile Hopefully you'll have a day like this over the weekend?

Could be the best dog picture I have seen on SC, Ginnie.
Colours and detail are spectacular, and the dog's dream is palpable.
Ginnie Hart: Your flattery is most humbling, Ray, and will get you (just about) everywhere! Thank you, kind sir
A dog's life !! Siesta !! smile
Ginnie Hart: It's what we all need just about now, Flo. smile Thanks.

Otherwise known as Black Friday Guess for some people that might count as work...hehe. Love the shot...too funny
Ginnie Hart: Black Friday, indeed. We're trying to avoid it as much as possible! smile Thanks, Stan.

Life is so hard !!!
Ginnie Hart: Isn't that the truth! smile Thanks, Roland.
ouhhhh... il a l'air bien fatigué, lui!
excellente photo
Ginnie Hart: Yup. The perfect lazy bum! smile Thanks, O-P.
Can I second what Ray said? I don`t think I have ever seen such colour or texture in a dog`s coat! I see Irish Setter somewhere in this dog`s ancestry rather than Chow (the other `red` breed). I see `gundog` rather than `fighting breed` in his low set ears. With his belly flat to the floor, he is taking full advantage of the cool tiles. The callous on his elbow and his neat, short nails, tell me that he spends much of his time on the streets. Most of all, in his greying muzzle, I see the signs of `old age` creeping up on him. As you can tell, I have been captivatd by this photograph. (:o)
Ginnie Hart: You have seen a lot here, Roz, and I learn from you. Thanks for all your thoughts.

Oh yes, this is a weekend or holiday photo! Who is not pleased "alle Viere einmal von sich zu strecken"? (Sorry, I don't know the English idiom)
Ginnie Hart: Hmmm. Sounds like a fun idiom, Philine. I tried to figure it out and maybe the English equivalent will come to me later. But thank you. It's the thought that counts. It's definitely a good stretch. smile
What a wonderful canine portrait. The colours are really sumptuous and the composition spot on. You have captured that mix of resigned exhaustion and total relaxation!
Ingrid
Ginnie Hart: I like that, Ingrid: resigned exhaustion and total relaxation! Exactly. Thanks.

Ah the Mediterranean way of life, relaxing in the afternoon sun, we could do with some of that around here. Good colours, well seen.
Ginnie Hart: Exactly, Les. I was actually amazed at how many dogs we saw lying around, some even in the middle of pedestrian thoroughways, all over the Mediterranean. Thanks.
he looks tired and comfortable...
Ginnie Hart: Just about like how I felt at the end of the day yesterday, Chantal. smile

This dog has unusual colours - something I haven't seen. I bet his name is Rosso.

Great shot to introduce a restful weekend smile
Ginnie Hart: Rosso it is, Louis. I fell in love with him on the spot. smile

Have a great weekend!
Very nice picture. What a hard life!
Ginnie Hart: Isn't that the truth, Richard! smile Thanks.
Look at that cute dog. He's quite old looking at the grey hairs around his nose smile
Ginnie Hart: Maybe that's why I fell in love with him, Scarlet. smile Thanks.

Awwww, Ginnie. I knew it was nap time for me and this confirms it. I am a lazy dog.

What a great picture!

By the way, I noted johnnyg's comment about your new equipment. What type of new goodies do you have?
Ginnie Hart: I'm definitely a lazy dog today, Kathryn! Thanks. smile

Johhny remembers when I had the Canon Powershot S3 IS. And then when we had our SC BBQ meet-up in Milton Keyes back in Septemeber (photos in the archives for many of us), he saw my new Digital Rebel XTi/400D/Kiss. It's been fun learning the new lenses (listed in my About). That's what he's referring to.
Sorento....must have been quite a hot day.
Ginnie Hart: No, not hot at all in late October, Wim. Just lazy. smile Thanks.

Awww smile we're still missing our ddog Harry sad
Ginnie Hart: Ohhhh. I know how much you must still be grieving, Chris. My heart goes out to you. I fell in love with this fella the minute I saw him. I can imagine the loss after having him around for years!

This is how I feel today!! But Ginnie this is a fabulous shot, the fur of the dog is so natural, I agree with Ray and Rosalyn smile
Ginnie Hart: After two days of eating and lazing around, I felt like this, too, Astrid. smile Now we need to concentrate on being sensible again. HA!
Lovely crisp canine portrait Ginnie. Not a care in the world and no cats to chase. David.
Ginnie Hart: HA! I like the part about no cats to chase. Thanks, David.
Hmmm ... callous! neat nails! greying! old age creep! ... thought Ros' was describing me ... Yes and I too, have been known to crash out on the settee!!! Oh and BTW Ginnie ...this is definitly an iconic pooch shot. richard.
Ginnie Hart: HA! You're too funny, Richard. I think many of us are feeling/looking like this dog these days! smile Thanks.
Nice, cool dog pic...The dog makes a nice diagonal line. I wish the part of the pavement under his head was a little more uncluttered.
Ginnie Hart: Believe it or not, I actually cleaned up some of the clutter, Aksel. grin Decided the rest needed to stay to give it some reality! But I know what you mean. Thanks.
That's just how I feel. Lovely shot Ginnie, hope you had a good Thanksgiving.
Ginnie Hart: We had a great 2 days of being with Donica's family in south Atlanta, 65 miles from us, Bill. Thanks.
It certainly is Ginnie - did you take a photo of the whole dog? If you did, could I see it - it's for a possible painting. Thanks Mike.
Ginnie Hart: I have just sent you one of the photos I took of the entire dog, Mike. If you do the "possible painting," I'd love to see it! smile

Ginnie Hart: Don't you just love this fella! Thanks for backtracking to it, Mad, and commenting.
