Red Pen, this one's for you!

Seen on the street in Barcelona, Spain, that climbs the hill to Antoni Gaudí's Park Güell.

This infatuation with doors is spreading, and rightly so! This is an amazing example.
Ginnie Hart: How could you NOT think of Red Pen! Thanks, Martin.
Wow! That is quite a colour combination! Glad you brought us this one.
Ginnie Hart: Some people are very creative, Mary! Gotta love it! Thanks.

I love how the door is flush with the sidewalk and without a step inside. Great colours.
Ginnie Hart: And no door handle! What's THAT about! Thanks, Suzanne.

This door and wall/window will look phenomenel when the sun would shine on, Ginnie this is a very well captures picture, I like it when the pavement is 'schuin' tilted. I would not dare to use these colour combination on my door, thanks for sharing and great eye for detail again. smile
Ginnie Hart: I'm laughing about how we LOVE to see this on someone else's house but we wouldn't DARE it on our own! smile Thanks, Astrid!
Nice colours for doors and windows. Colourful and arty.
Ginnie Hart: Must be that Gaudí was rubbing off on them! Thanks, Flo.
lol..nice addition to Red Pen's series Ginnie. I do love the colours. Looks like quite a climb.
Ginnie Hart: I thought of Red Pen immediately, and then had to snap it. Thanks, Bridge.

Fantastic colours Ginnie, red Pen will be pleased. Makes my door look very plain.
Ginnie Hart: HA! I know what you mean, Aussie! Thanks.
Very nice artistic composition Ginnie. I like the diagonal street line and the colour tones
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Richard! smile
Gorgeous capture, Ginnie. Amazing colour. It gives me the impression that this city lives and breathes `art`. (:o)

I love it when the houses are painted different colors and it's also very easy to find someone house that way. Here everything is concrete color it's so dreary. Great shot Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: HA! You're right, Scarlet, about it making it easier to find someone! Thanks.

An interesting combination of colurs indeed! The door seems to be closed, no step...(or a door for the dead inhabitants in order to bring them to the cemetery? I've seen such dead-doors in Italy)
Ginnie Hart: Well, Philine, you may be right because where is the doorknob??? Does that make this a "dead door?"

Well, it is a great idea to break the potential monotony of the purple pic. Mary would give you 'Purple rain'.

Great picture - my wife would ask how someone can live in a house of that colour. My standard answer, they live inside and don't have to look at it all the time. Think of the neighbours.
Ginnie Hart: Don't we all LOL at what Mary would come up with next! And LOL at YOU for being so pragmatic! smile Thanks, Louis.
It seems lie, Ginnie! Near 44 years living in Barcelona and never I have seen nothing equal! Thanks for this small jewel! I like much as tree is superposed in the door! I am going to consider it a LIKEY.
Ginnie Hart: So glad you Likey this, José-Angel, because it is indeed a gem! Thanks. You can be so proud of your great city!!!

Love this bold statement in purples, mauves and reds.
And...love your composition, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Sir Ray.
I love it, Ginnie! Thanks. I certainly could not have passed this photo opportunity up if I'd seen it myself. Well done. My favorite aspects, aside from the phenomenal color, are the stripes in the sidewalk and the wonderful window. A likey for me.
Ginnie Hart: Now you know why I thought of YOU! It had you written all over it! Thanks, Red Pen.

My daughter's fiancee probably wouldn't notice anything unusual about this picture...mind you he is colour blind! It's amazing how many door pictures people take. I t never really occurs to me but I like this one!
Ginnie Hart: HA! Color blind is NOT what you want to be in Spain!! I don't think I would have taken this photo if Red Pen hadn't first sensitized me, Bill. Thanks.

Ginnie Hart: That's what I thought, Ann. Thanks.
Interesting colours Ginnie but I find the tree a little distracting I'm afraid.
Ginnie Hart: I tried to shove it away for you, Les, but it simply would not budge. Naughty tree. smile Thanks.
