The Battle of Arnhem, NL, WWII (1 of 3)

Astrid and I took son Mark to the Airborne Museum in Oosterbeek, NL, to see Operation Market Garden,

the battle showcased in the movie "A Bridge too Far."  Totally worth the experience.

Ginnie Hart: That's exactly how you would feel about the entire museum, Ray! Thank you.

I have been in Arnhem and saw the bridge - but I have never been in this museum - your photo says it all!
Ginnie Hart: The museum is totally worth seeing, Philine, if you ever have the chance to see it. Our English friends in particular would love it.
cool pic. Looks like a great spot for a photographer.
Ginnie Hart: Totally a photo-op kind of place, Rob! Thanks.

Great point of view here, Ginnie. That is quite the exhibition and they did a great job.
Ginnie Hart: Bedankt, Astrid. I want us to take our English friends when they come back for a visit.

One day will you please take me there too Ginnie?
Ginnie Hart: Absolutely, Chris. Astrid and I have already planned this! You will love it.
Wat bijzonder GOED heb jij dit vastgelegd.
De oorlogs-sfeer spreekt echt !
Ginnie Hart: Bedankt, Marjolein. If you haven't seen this museum yet, it's really worth the experience.

Telling picture, Ginnie - really well done
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Lisl. This museum is very well done!
Géniale cette photo Ginnie, presque inquiétante avec ce militaire armé en arrière plan.
Bonne journée
Ginnie Hart: The entire museum is disturbing, Pascale, but tells the story well.
Yes I would find this very interesting Ginnie. Cracking picture
Ginnie Hart: Most of the soldiers shown were British, Bill, because of that particular mission. I learned so much about this part of the war undertaken not far from us here in the Netherlands. We even crossed the Arnhem bridge that day, in memory of "the bridge too far."

I have always liked that film, especially the officer with the brolly. I would like to visit the museum.
Ginnie Hart: As I have already told your Partner in Crime, this museum is definitely on the list for when you return, Chad!
the picture is really astounding... esp with those blue background lights!! love this!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Elaine. The museum is really a delight to see, in spite of the subject matter.
The car makes me think of Bonnie and Clyde. smile Nicely done.
Ginnie Hart: Exactly, Mary. Too bad it wasn't about that! Thanks.

Looks like a great documentary shot as if you were there covering the action!! I wonder how effective it would be if processed in B&W.
Ginnie Hart: B&W would be good, Steven, I'm sure. Absolutely.
This particular exhibit looks so realistic, Ginnie. Your shot could have been ripped out of the news at the time. I'm going to do some research on Operation Market Garden.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Beverly. They really did a good job of making it all look realistic!
I like the light in this dramatic image
Ginnie Hart: It was all dramatic, Ruthie. Thanks.

een prachtige opname ondanks de moeilijke omstandigheden Ginnie

greetings
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir.
It seems strange to say this is an excellent picture because of what the subject is set up to display but it is.
Ginnie Hart: Most kind of you, Brian, but I know what you mean.

Nicely presented.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Cherry.
A dramatic shot, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: The entire display was like that, Frank. Very sobering.

Shucks, what a dramatic picture - even with a German guard for the wreck.
Ginnie Hart: The entire museum is quite dramatic, Louis, if you ever have the chance to see it. I was really impressed. Thanks.

Wow! This is really cool!
Ginnie Hart: As you know, Robin, we don't go to many museums (other than churches!), but this one is amazing. Thanks.
With exhibits like this it must have been great for Mark,
Ginnie Hart: Mark absolutely loved this museum, as did we, Sheila!

Terrific shot, Ginnie - you've done so well with these. A unique view!
