A Mid-Week Break

Settling back in after returning home last night from Merry England...

kinda like blooming where we're planted all over again!

How wonderful to have seen so many of you at the Shutterchance meet-up.

Yes, it must have been a wonderful time with all the friends in England! A beautiful photo and an homage!
Ginnie Hart: Your name came up several times, Philine, and how we missed having you there with us! Maybe the next time?!
Splendide photo de ces Nénuphars. Le fond sombre leur va vraiment bien.
Bonne journée Ginnie

Such a striking image compared with normal waterlily pictures. Hope you are settling down again now

Great use of chiaroscuro here Ginnie. It was good, asl always, to see you at Croome, and I’m glad you are both safely home again.
Ginnie Hart: Most kind of you, Chad. How lucky for us both to have seen you and Norma TWICE. Double the pleasure. smile
Glad you are home safe Ginnie. It was lovely to see you both but it all went by so quickly!

Stunning clarity and color accompanied by excellent use of lighting!! The lillies look like they're internally illuminated. Welcome back!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Steven. Don't you love manipulation tools! HA!
Beautiful flowers aren't they. It was great meeting you both on Monday, we always say it's nice to be away but it's also nice to be back home.
Ginnie Hart: We were delighted to see you and Maureen again, Brian. It wouldn't have been the same without you!

I love how the picture, including the border, gradually comes to light. When I was in Antwerp recently, I visited the Ruben's House. What struck me then, was how painters use light in their paintings. Old, old lesson. When I get there, I will post some pictures of such paintings.

There were some paintings by Pieter Bruegel, that absolutely intrigued me. His attention to detail is exquisite. Unfortunately, I could not hold the little bridge still enough, nor could it manage enough shutter speed for me to take sharp pictures of those.
Ginnie Hart: We learn a lot from the old masters, Louis, don't we! Thank you.
What an elegant image. I also like the light
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Ruthie.
My! What a gorgeous shot, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Most kind of you, Mary.
This is such an artistic shot, Ginnie. One of the best water lily images I've seen. So pleased to hear that the meet up was such a success.
Ginnie Hart: You're so very kind, Beverly. Thank you. And yes, the meetup was wonderful in so many ways!
Lovely shot, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir.
