A good shot, Ginnie well caught, ( you, and the Grebe! ) smile
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir.
It is looking very smug. This is wonderful.
Ginnie Hart: A proud mama, Michael. We watched her take it across the river to her babies. Thanks.
Magnifique photo, j'aime beaucoup.
Ginnie Hart: Merci, Martine.
A terrific shot, Ginnie! Lovely tones - and perfect scripture!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you most kindly, Elizabeth.

How good to catch this moment. I expect the grebe thought so , too!
Ginnie Hart: It was a mad dash to get this as we passed by in the boat, Lisl, so I was happy it turned out. We watched her take her catch to her babies across the river.

This is a great catch, Ginnie. It was fun to see later that the mother was feeding the child, who was waiting in between the reeds.
Great processing.
Ginnie Hart: It was an "eternalized moment" for me, Astrid. So fun to watch the beginning to end.

Looks like it has its lunch. It seems pleased with its catch. A cracking image.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Alan. Actually, she caught this for her babies on the other side of the river. We watched the entire process, beginning to end.
Quel bel animal ..bravo pour les photos
Bonne journée Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Claudine. Merci.

Is fish a favourite Ginnie?
Ginnie Hart: That would be my guess, Chad. smile
once, when living on the boat, a pretty little boy wood duck, fell in love with a mallard girl... he followed her everywhere, and then came mating time, and the mallard started having sex with every boy duck that came along, and the little wood duck would get sooooo freakin' upset, cheeping like crazy and in a tizzy... i felt sooo sorry for him!!! anyway, these are beautiful pictures!!!
Ginnie Hart: LOL at such a story, Elaine. Poor fella. Thanks.
I love your shot, Ginnie. What a hairdo in photo two!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Mary. It's hard to believe such a duck can look so different when soaking wet!
To some extent they are strange looking birds, you certainly caught this one at a very opportune moment.
Ginnie Hart: Very strange, Brian. I had no clue it was the same duck once Astrid told me which one it was!

Great timing to capture this grebe and his meal! He wasn't going to give that up.
Ginnie Hart: No one was going to risk a fight for the babies across the river, Steven! Thanks.
Love! Thanks for including the dry version for us to appreciate all that beauty!
Ginnie Hart: I added the dry version after I first posted the image, Robin, when I realized everyone might want to see the real deal. smile

Amazing shape!
Ginnie Hart: Definitely, Anne.
She seems more than pleased with her catch, Ginnie; as you should be, as well, with these two marvellous captures.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Beverly. She knew she could now take it back to her babies on the other side of the river!
Great shot, Ginnie - wonderful treatment
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir.

Oh wow, this is excellent. I was trying to take their picture in the canals of Ghent and can confirm it is difficult. Let alone a picture at water level, right after it caught a fish.
Ginnie Hart: You can guess, then, Louis, how lucky I felt that it came out. Thank you.
Grebes are very popular in scriptures... smile
Ginnie Hart: Wait. Are you serious, Larry??? Where? smile

Ginnie Hart: Most kind of you, Sherri.
LOVE these closeups!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Ruthie.
It almost seemed like a duck-like head when it was wet... smile Nice captures, Ginnie...
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Sudipto.
