Bizarre comme sculpture surtout dans une église.
Ginnie Hart: I know, Martine. These two fellas sit at the feet of someone's tomb.

Great use of black and white. I think the young man has the same expression as the statue.
Ginnie Hart: That young man happens to be my g'son, Beth, and his expression standing there was why I liked this particular image. smile
I like the combination of the statues expressions combined with the human ones, Ginnie. A good shot.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Frank. That happens to be my g'son on the left. smile

the one dog seem to be looking at the same thing as the people
Ginnie Hart: Good point, Sherri. Hmmmm.

Great tones and contrasts throughout this shot! Seems like something has everyone's attention. Not until I saw your title did I realize what tomorrow is. No walking under ladders or black cats crossing your paths. smile
Ginnie Hart: I'm not at all superstitious, Steven, but it's fun thinking about those who are. HA! Thanks.
Oh dear! I wonder what the artist was depicting? Did they have a Friday the 13th suspicion, then?
Ginnie Hart: These two creatures sit at the foot of someone's tomb, Elizabeth, and I can't help but wonder what the artist is depicting!
Ginnie, this is magnificent. So funny!
Ginnie Hart: It's fun, Larry, isn't it. Thanks.

Medieval carvings presumably Ginnie? I espy other carved figures in the background as well. Cathedrals are full of these things
Ginnie Hart: Yes, indeed, Chris. These cathedrals are full of intrigues like this, aren't they. I suppose you did see my g'son and your Little Sis???

As long as no black cats start jumping around too.....
This is such a great picture, Ginnie and having Nicholas and me in the background too, we were wondering who it was....
Ginnie Hart: No black cats to be seen, Astrid, but lots of things to wonder about, for sure! Bedankt.

The lion looks as if he is laughing Ginnie, did you say something funny?
Ginnie Hart: I think he DID know I was chuckling under my breath, Chad, so...yes, guilty as charged. smile
Curieuses ces sculptures , mais quel beau travail ..
Bonne journée Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: They always make me wonder, Claudine! smile

A fascinating carving. It looks like some unknown animal is having its belly tickled. The lion seems to find it funny but the dog less so.
Ginnie Hart: It does make you wonder, Alan, doesn't it! smile

Oh, I asdmire your discovering eyes!
Ginnie Hart: Bedankt, Philine. Sometimes you just have to laugh and then take the picture. smile
Elle est superbe cette fontaine.
Bonne journée Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Lying at the feet of someone's tomb, Pascale. It makes you wonder what the story is!
wow, that's a creepy statue, only the catholics, aye? what are the two animals standing on? or do i want to know? lol friday the 13th indeed!
Ginnie Hart: As often happens, Elaine, these two fellas are at the feet of someone's tomb there in the cathedral. I always wonder what their story is! Favorite pets?
I am fascinated by the expressions on these statues.
Ginnie Hart: Me, too, Ruthie. smile

Not many dogs that are larger than a male lion. Both of them look apprehensive about something. Maybe there is a dragon approaching.
Ginnie Hart: I always wonder about the back stories in these situations, Louis. HA!

Can't tell what song they are singing??? Is the lion lying down with the 'dog'?
Ginnie Hart: Don't we all want to know, Bonnie! smile
They have the look of being caught in the act but I wonder what the act was!
Ginnie Hart: HAHAHA, Bill. Exactly! smile
I did what your title says Ginnie because today Maureen and I both receieved our monthly works pension payment so we enjoyed lunch in the lovely park at nearby Loughborough, somewhere I've featured on SC.before, on a nice , but not overhot, summers day.
Ginnie Hart: YAY for you and pension payments, Brian!!! You've reminded me that the generations to come, at least in America, may no longer receive them???
good shot of the statue in contrast to the people looking at other things around it Ginnie....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Peter. The man-boy on the left happens to be my g'son, who just turned 18!

a fascinating shot, Ginnie. i wonder what could be the back story of these animals (is it a lion cub?). i visited the Koln Dom years ago and cannot recall now having seen this.
Ginnie Hart: This is an end shot of someone's tomb in the cathedral, Ayush, not usually seen at this angle, of course. It just tickled me to see their expressions. smile
Wonderful - I've always wanted to visit Cologne - my dad was stationed there at the end of WWI in the army of occupation.
Ginnie Hart: You would love it, Tom, especially in the area of the cathedral, near its bridge (with millions of love padlocks) and the promenade walk along the Rhine river.
I love it. You get to see some real treasures.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Michael. As you know, there are treasures everywhere we look!

They look a bit shocked and worried about something.
Ginnie Hart: I wonder if they're a reflection on the passing of their master, Cherry??? smile
So hard to do these days! Love the hand/facial expression of Nicholas!
