This is just wonderful. I never knew that magnolia flowers are that big and too bad they only last for a fer days.
Ginnie Hart: They're huge, Astrid, as are the trees themselves. We were so lucky to seem them in bllom this time!
Magnifique fleur. Passes un bon séjour avec ton petit-fils.
Ginnie Hart: Merci on both counts, Martine. Nicholas was here 3 years ago when he just turned 15, so this time should be even more special for us all.

Oh, Ginnie, welcome with such a beautiful bloom! How the time doed fly, I thought you were away for some weeks. Nicholas will enjoy the time with you - and the weather is wonderful to do some dagje-uits!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, dear Philine. We both had thought we'd wait till after Nicholas leaves 2 weeks from now before returning to Shutterchance, but then changed our minds since we won't be gone every day...and he does sleep in! smile

A stunning shot of this gorgeous bloom, Ginnie. We saw these trees in full glory when we visited Washington, DC some years ago but this image outshines them all. Hope you have loads of fun with you grandson.
