I like the pattern...
Ginnie Hart: Me, too, Larry.
A beautiful well worn floor.
Ginnie Hart: I thought so, too, Michael.

All those pious feet have made their impression
Ginnie Hart: I expect so, Chris!

Was this previously used for burials, Ginnie?
Ginnie Hart: That, too, I'm sure, Lisl, as with most crypts?

I look always down at the floors of the churches- they are often so fascinating like this floor.
Ginnie Hart: I so much agree with you, Philine!
Net als Astrid een heel mooi lijnenspel in de tegelvloer, maar bij jou recht toe recht aan !
Ginnie Hart: I'm always fascinated by the patterns of these church floors, Marjolein. Bedankt.
A well trodden floor Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Indeed so, Bill.

A lovely patterned floor which would not show crumbs and things Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: HA! That's a nice way to think of it, Chad. smile
J'aime bien ce sol tomette. A une époque, c'était à  "la mode" de les peindre.
Bonne journée Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: You surely know a lot more than I do about these things, Pascale! smile

This is a great shot exploring the available lines.
Ginnie Hart: Most kind of you, Louis. You know me and the "vanishing point perspective." smile
Great use of the floor as a pattern shot, it must have had thousands of feet walking over it during the centuries.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Brian. Thousands of feet, indeed!
Just asking to be taken!
Ginnie Hart: Yup!
A nice shot, even if I find the image a bit 'depressing, but maybe that was what you wanted to get.
Ginnie Hart: No, Claudio. I wasn't "depressed" by this at all and now wonder why it had that effect on you? It always intrigues me how we all have different responses to images.
Can you see Victorian floor tiles in Holland? We do have some in Malaysia, they look just the ones in England. smile
Ginnie Hart: Victorian floor tiles in Holland? You got me, LC. I expect not but, then, someone somewhere probably has them???

love, love the floors
Ginnie Hart: I do, too, Sherri. I'm constantly looking up and down in these European churches/cathedrals. smile

that pattern reminds me of something, but i can't think of what... grrr, it's on the tip of my brain... lovely picture of it tho! all that history where you live, can you hear what they are saying from the past? cccaaaaarrrrpe diiiiieeeem... seeeeize the daaaay smile
Ginnie Hart: I always stand in amazement in these places, Elaine, because of how old they are. I NEVER experienced this in America!
the tiles have been worn down over the years Ginnie... i love your point of view....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: Time and "weather," Peter, will test just about anything, us included. smile
No, I was not referring to you, but to the appearance of the image aroused in me an impression of sadness and abandonmen
Ginnie Hart: Ahhh. Now I understand, Claudio. Yes, that makes sense! Thank you.

Excellent patterns captured in this terrazzo floor!!
Ginnie Hart: I often find such patterns while traveling around to these old churches, Steven. They always amaze me.

Interesting wear patterns on the floor tiles, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: I thought so, too, Ray.
Oh that pattern! Love!
Ginnie Hart: I know, Robin. A different kind of wabi-sabi???
