The woodwork is impressive, Ginnie...perhaps there was not enough wood left to built a boat...
Ginnie Hart: You may have a point, Ray. HA!
Or... get a job! smile
Ginnie Hart: Not on your life, Larry!
Joli bureau, la chaise a l'air bien confortable.
Ginnie Hart: It all looks "too comfortable" for a castle, Martine, to be honest!
Looks like a pretty ornate!
Ginnie Hart: Almost too ornate for a castle, methinks?

I think I just saw him rushing down the stairs looking for his coat, Ginnie, it is cold outside....
I love that 'foot ashtray'....
What a wonderful scene and it looks great in B&W.
Ginnie Hart: We all could come up with our own story, Astrid, which is why I love these reenactments. Bedankt.
Une ambiance et un style différents sur ce cliché, plus bourgeois.
Bonne journée Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: More bourgeois, indeed, Pascale. A good word for what I have told others, that this doesn't really look like a castle!
Hehe did you find a boat wink
Ginnie Hart: HA! Good one, Joshi. Yes, as a matter of fact...on the images of many others here at Shutterchance.

This wood panelled room is very stately Ginnie. The goose in the window is keeping an eye out for burglars
Ginnie Hart: I LOVE all that wood, Chris, yes! i wondered who would be the first for duck, duck, goose! smile

Haha - I prefer sitting down on one of the beautiful chairs!
Ginnie Hart: I know, Philine. Too bad we weren't allowed. smile

The material on those chairs is almost touchable in your treatment, Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: It does stand out, Lisl, doesn't it!

hahah!! Looks as though the person who was sat at the desk has just done that.. or maybe just popped to the loo.
Ginnie Hart: HA! Skip to my loo, my darling! grin

I love good old fashioned wood panelling - beats wallpaper anytime.
Ginnie Hart: I so agree, Louis, if you have it!

Wood is such a warm and comforting material Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: I so agree with you, Chad.
i'm the queen of the castle lalala... beautiful room, heavy duty wood work! lovely framing and processing!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Elaine. Warm and cozy, right? smile
Prachtig in deze kleur gevangen.
Heel sfeervol
Ginnie Hart: This is when we might use the word gezellig, Marjolein, right? smile Bedankt.
I agree with your sentiment. Who wants to be indoors? Excellent shiny photo!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Mary. Even with Code Yellow warnings here in the Netherlands, we still need to get outside! Black ice and severe wind-chill factors with snowy conditions.
But our canals are frozen now.
Not boating today I'm afraid.
We can still skate like the Dutch on icy canals though smile
Ginnie Hart: Sadly, LC, the frozen ice here is NOT conducive to skating because of the winds that have made it rough and too thin in some spots. Weird. One man (age 75) already fell through and died. At least 4 others have fallen through, in spite of the warnings.

What beautifully-crafted woodwork on the walls! And those chairs are so ornate. I'd be afraid to sit on them. smile Great use of natural light!
Ginnie Hart: Rooms like this are so inviting to me, Steven. They actually make me want to study something important. smile Thanks.
I am guessing this is oak paneling Ginnie and it looks rather splendid
Ginnie Hart: Oak is my favorite wood, Bill, so I agree with you!

een prachtig interieur Ginnie

ik zie me wel niet de ganse dag aan zo'n bureau zitten..

prettig weekend
Ginnie Hart: I think I could sit there for a long time, Willy, but there would always come a time to get up and leave! smile Fine weekend to you, too.
I would love to have a look round that place.
Ginnie Hart: You'd be thrilled to see the place, Brian.
It really looks like my studio, yes, in short, almost. sad
Beautiful contrast and clean image despite the uniformity of gray
Ginnie Hart: HA! If you have a studio that looks almost like this, Claudio, I think you are very lucky. smile Thank you.
Very nice - I'd fancy that as my study!
Ginnie Hart: I think a lot of us would, Tom. smile

It is not boating weather in the UK. I think I will stay and enjoy that chair by the desk smile
Ginnie Hart: HA! Good one, Cherry. We're having Code Yellow weather right now, with black ice warnings and severe wind chills. We'll stay mostly inside this weekend!
Aw, that is a stunning shot.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir.
magnifique noir et blanc!! amitiés
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, JP. i tried to leave a comment on your site but it said I needed a Yahoo account. What do I need to do if I don't want a Yahoo account?

I really like this composition...so many leading lines and little punches of bright spots in all the right places. Really could look at this a long time. Imagining the conversation between the two imagined in the chairs.
Ginnie Hart: How sweet of you, Bonnie. The thought of those two chairs being in conversation made my day. smile
Those chairs!!!
Ginnie Hart: YUP. smile
