the lighting makes it more dramatic, Ginnie. and i like the warm tones in the middle set off by the cooler light at the sides.
Ginnie Hart: That basilica is something else, Ayush, and would be totally worth your time if ever you're back in the Netherlands. Speaking of which...are you???
Very dramatic, Ginnie, just needs a few deep organ notes....
Ginnie Hart: Exactly, Frank, and thank you.

You and your camera have coped very well with the low light here, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Ray. You know how much I love my little camera!

I think this will make a lot of joyful noise, Ginnie.
I so love the lighting here, lots of drama. A wonderful picture.
Ginnie Hart: Midst the cacophony elsewhere in the world, Astrid, it behooves us to find as many joyful sounds as possible. Thank you.
Looks great and nice light smile
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Joshi. It's one of those places where you just stare.
Superbe éclairage sur cet orgue magnifique.
Bonne journée Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Merci, Pascale. It's such a delightful place to see.

The sheer size of that thing suggests it probably makes one almighty racket when played Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: I wish we could have heard it that day, Chris!

What an impressive church! At first I thought we are in Italy. Oudenbosch- I have to notice this name.
Ginnie Hart: The inside of this basilica is fashioned after St. Peter's in the Vatican, Philine. It was built under the initiative of father Willem Hellemons who was parish priest there between 1842 and 1884. Before he became a priest, he visited St. Peter's and vowed that if he ever became a priest, he would have a basilica built like St. Peter's. His dreams came true. And what's so strange about it is it stands out in the middle of nowhere!

Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Alan. You'd love this fine "replica" of St. Peter's in the Vatican.

Rich colour and I like the shadow cast by the organ Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Good eye, Chad. The organ and its shadow!
Oh, wat staat dat orgel er prachtig op...
Nog nooit bij die grootste basiliek geweest.
Geniet ik toch hier ;-0
Ginnie Hart: You would love this basilica, Marjolein...a replica of St'Peter's in the Vatican on the inside. Most of the "marble" inside is painted! Maybe you can visit it one day? Bedankt.
I bet they can knock out a good tune on this beauty Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: I bet so, too, Bill!
Now that's an organ! Wow! Beautiful.
Ginnie Hart: Yes, it is, Robin! smile
The organ is glowing so the music must be good.
Ginnie Hart: HA! Good one, Mary.
As a picture with that difficult lighting you've mad a great job of this Ginnie. It is a beautiful organ , who wouldn't love to hear soemthing being played on it.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Brian. I would have loved to hear it being played!

What incredible ornate design accompanied by beautiful colors!! A perfectly-framed view to showcase these pipes.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Steven. My mom was a piano and organ player, as a preacher's wife, so I always pay attention! smile
I used to play electric organ when I was little in Malaysia.
It was such a craze back then. smile
Ginnie Hart: Well, then, LC. You would have loved getting your hands on THIS, I bet. smile

Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir.
Just a little break... smile
Ginnie Hart: As we used to say growing up, "half a loaf is better than no vacation at all!" smile
That is a "holy heck" shot. Beautifully done.
Ginnie Hart: HA! Thanks, Michael. I'll have to remember that one. smile

WOW, and are those colours for reals? or are there lights shining up from the floor... amazing shot!!
Ginnie Hart: This is actually way up in the rafters, Elaine, with the floor far below. The lights are clearly coming from the the foot of the pipes near where the organist sits, I assume. It really is a sight to see. Thanks.
It certainly glows!
Ginnie Hart: Definitely what it felt like, Tom.
that is some beautiful pipe organ Ginnie... great lighting....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Peter. It really catches the eye!
