Well that's really cool! What a great shot!
Ginnie Hart: Zierikzee is one of the most charming Dutch cities I've yet visited, Elizabeth. Thanks.

I thought that, this morning, after 3 days without my bicycle...
Ginnie Hart: Oh no. How did you survive, Ray?!
A nice shot of a nice bridge, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Frank!

Ce doit être intéressant de voir le pont s'ouvrir.
Ginnie Hart: I'm sure of it, Martine.

This is a wonderful point of view, Ginnie. Zierikzee is indeed a very charming city. A beautiful drawbridge this is.
Ginnie Hart: Being in that charming city that day was one of the highlights of the entire time with Nelson, Astrid. Thanks for the research you did ahead of time on that.
Très original ce pont , ta photo est très originale
Bonne journée
Ginnie Hart: Merci, Claudine. I am a lover of the Dutch drawbridges. smile
Joli ce pont et j'aime cette rue pavée.
Bonne journée Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: It's a delightful, charming village, Pascale. Merci.
Wat is deze zwart-wit prachtig geworden. Je stapt zo naar binnen, echt uitnodigend !
Ginnie Hart: It was such a charming surprise, Marjolein. I'd love to go back again.

a beautiful drawbridge! I should visit Zierikzee one day.
Ginnie Hart: You'd love it, Philine. I was surprised at how charming it is...a perfect wee city to show Nelson.

This is nice Ginnie, an actual lifting bridge from the look of it..
Ginnie Hart: Oh, absolutely, Chris...the likes of which you find all over this wee country.

This can be nowhere else other than Dutchland. You're lucky to get this view without other people in the shot.
Ginnie Hart: We were there midweek, Alan, when everyone else was at work or in school! More Dutch you cannot get. smile

I love these bridges, so Dutch. Van Gogh clearly liked them Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Oh, yes, Chad. The charm of the Dutch villages!
I just love the way the railings bring in an abstract feel to this image! Sorry to fill up your in box, but just had a little free time here in Cambodia to get caught up! Also...congrats on the little one coming! Sending hugs!
Ginnie Hart: Woman! You amaze me! But thank you and I'll be catching up on you, too, soon! It's good to see you again. Thank you. smile
All the shapes and angles are great seen in this way.
Ginnie Hart: I'm always "short of eyes" in these places, Mary.
I love seeing these bridges, they scream and shout Holland, I'm not sute if I ever saw one during my visits to Holland.
Ginnie Hart: We see them everywhere we o, Brian, and yes, more Dutch you cannot get. Thanks.
This type of lift bridge is so common in Holland. smile

I though it was the famous one in Amsterdam at first! LOL

Must be the black & white effect.
Ginnie Hart: We see these bridges everywhere we go here in the Netherlands, LC. More Dutch you cannot get!

very cool shot!! and what is so black about this monday?? excepting some obvious catholic thang that i've blocked from my memory lol... i totally almost forgot to do my photo rounds!! sorry for the late entry to the race smile
Ginnie Hart: Black Monday is a Shutterchance thing, Elaine...like Boat Friday. Someone started it and several of us "do it" from time to time. That's all. It's when we use our darkest images, usually. HA!

An inviting PoV across this bridge!! I love the leading lines of the railings.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Steven. It looked appealing to me!
A fairly common Hollandish construction!
Ginnie Hart: Exactly, Tom!
Very nice tones...
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Larry.
A fine b&w Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir.

After a busy few days, monday found me not wanting to get moving...
Ginnie Hart: Even after retirement, Cherry, it happens! smile
That is a really nice shot with those great tones.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Michael.
Another beautiful image, a drawbridge I imagine
Do you and Astrid make home photographic contests?
Who win? smile
Ginnie Hart: Yes, Claudio, a Dutch drawbridge, of which there must be thousands! But LOL about Astrid and me making photographic contests. HA! Sometimes we take a photo of the same thing and show our different takes on it the same day on Shutterchance. We always have fun doing that because our styles are so different. No one wins and no one loses. smile
