Very warm palette, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: So many of the stalls are like this as the sun goes down, Ray. We become "short of eyes."
i think you both are in for a memorable time ahead, Ginnie. i understand the significance of the other patterns but not the ones with the cats and owls.
Ginnie Hart: I know it will be memorable, Ayush, even with the predicted rain. But as we always say, rain doesn't scare us and maybe we'll get lucky.

I think some Christmas items are made to attract cat and owl lovers, right?! smile
What wonderful lamps--very pretty...
Ginnie Hart: We see such candles at every Christmas market we ever visit, Larry, so I have a feeling we'll see some more this weekend.

You have captured the lovely, bright colours perfectly against the dark night sky smile
Ginnie Hart: Or against the darkness of the stall, in this case, Cherry. smile Thank you.

Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Steven. We are so looking forward to it, even with the predicted rain. Maybe we'll get lucky.
Beautifully captured, Ginnie! Just the right amount of light!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Elizabeth. These candle stalls are always one of my favorites.
C'est magnifique, j'aime beaucoup.
Ginnie Hart: Merci, Martine.
Très très belle cette photos, ces luminaires sont superbes.
Bonne journée Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Merci, Pascale. I'm sure we'll see some more this weekend. smile

Ginnie - you are not going to believe this, but I bought three of the very same in Exeter earlier this week, one for each of my boys
Ginnie Hart: OMG, Lisl. What serendipity that I chose THIS to post today then! Thanks for sharing that.

Wonderful lights here and this is one of the joys we will see at the markets when it gets darker. Some of the designs I really like.
Ginnie Hart: I so agree, Astrid. I see we might even get SNOW!!!!

Ginnie Hart: Glass holders for candles, yes, Elaine. Thank you. We're closing down now and getting ready to leave. Snow is predicted!

Ginnie Hart: Bedankt, Marjolein. We're on our way to Maastricht right now....
German Christmas markets are so popular here! I don't know why, but it's always German. wink

Must be the sausages?! I guess.
Ginnie Hart: HA! We'll, we did have a brat for lunch at the Maastricht market, LC. Now I've had my fix. smile

Enjoy your trip. The Aachen markets are worth it - don't know the Maastricht market. When In the Netherlands this time of the year, we catch up on music and mostly the kind that is performed in spectacular old churches - choirs, orchestras, etc.

Great picture.
Ginnie Hart: Looking forward to Aachen tomorrow, Louis. The Maastricht market (today) is small and just one but it had a Ferris wheel which added to the overall charm. In the past, Astrid and I have attended at least one concert in an old church at Christmas time and loved it. Can't remember where right now....
Have a great weekend Ginnie. I went to Aachen in 1996 for a few days, mind you that was in the middle of summer. It is a nice town with a magnificent cathedral.
Ginnie Hart: I love that others of you have been to where we're going, Brain. We go to Aachen tomorrow. Today in Maastricht we also visited the St. Servaas Basilica and we're delighted. I'm hoping we can get into Aachen's cathedral tomorrow.
The candle shelters are well done and you've made them shine.
Ginnie Hart: One of my market favorites, Mary. Thank you.
What lovely colours, Ginnie. Enjoy the markets!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Frank. So far so good! smile
So colorful and beautiful smile
Ginnie Hart: Indeed so, Joshi. Thanks.
Enjoy the trip, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: One day under our belts, Tom, and so far so good!
That is a lovely shot.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Michael.
superbes couleurs!! amitiés
Ginnie Hart: Merci, JP.
