Oh I LOVE when they sail off with their wings in this position! Beautiful catch, Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Elizabeth. She was sailing away to the end of the pond, far, far away. I was glad I caught her. smile

This is a fabulous portrait of the swan. I don't remember the place but I know it was far in the distance somewhere near Gorinchem?
I love the way it is sailing off in the distance.
Ginnie Hart: This is when we were at Wil's awhile back and I caught the swam swimming way off into the distance on their pond.

Ginnie Hart: He's definitely the one to follow, Chris.

Very elegant in all ways, Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: I thought so, too, Lisl, but was especially impressed by the wake...which seemed surreal.

They look so regal like this I think it;s a display if there is a unwelcome swan nearby and this is either a show of aggression or dominance. I away thinks its a shame that swans can't get their necks as clean as their bodies.
Ginnie Hart: Indeed so, Alan. You've got me thinking...if this is the difference between "fur" and feathers?

Don't follow him, you will get your feet wet. Quite a big wake, for such a small engine.
Ginnie Hart: It quite surprised me, Louis.
Sometimes they are boat carrying babies. Nice photo.
Ginnie Hart: I'm sure of it, Mary. It would have been fun to see if this was the case....but it was way too far away.
beautiful capture of he wan drying its feathers Ginnie....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: Swimming across the pond as fast as she could go, Peter!

Ginnie Hart: And they mate for life, Elaine. That's the beauty of it!
Elegant and beautiful...
Ginnie Hart: Swans seem to have a corner on that, Larry, don't they!
