A Mid-Week Break

It's always good to cool off.

(I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!)

(seen in Megavissey, Cornwall, England)

The grey dog seems unsure about the ice-cream, Ginnie, but will surely come around.
Ginnie Hart: Who doesn't "come around" to ice cream, Ray!!! smile

I think the dogs never saw the sign, hair was in front of the eyes and by the way they rounded the corner, lost chance for cooling off. With these dogs you never know what is the back or front, glad to know they walk forward...
Wonderful pictures and I love the choice of B&W.
Ginnie Hart: LOL, Astrid, on which end is the front/back. When a dog has longer hair than I do, that's waaaaay too long for me. I wonder what their house looks like, assuming both dogs shed???

J'aime beaucoup les chiens à  poils longs.
Ginnie Hart: I wonder how much these two shed their hair, Martine?
Those dogs have nicer hair than some people!
Ginnie Hart: That's true, Elizabeth! smile
i would hate to pay the shampoo bill for those shaggy dogs, Ginnie. but i love them anyway. great shot.
Ginnie Hart: Good point, Ayush, and thanks. At once a month it might not be too bad??? smile

Poor things with those incredibly hot looking coats
Ginnie Hart: I wonder if they shed them in hot weather, Chris, and what they look like then???

wow, those dogs must take sooo much care!! when i had my poodle i used to have to groom her myself coz she was terrified of the groomer! and THAT was hard work, can't imagine these two beautiful dogs!!
Ginnie Hart: Can you imagine them in your house, Elaine??????? This is when you can be thankful for your little Smidge.

Ils ont la même coiffure que leurs maitres!
Ginnie Hart: HA! Indeed so, Anne. smile

Haha- a nice scene - and you are d'accord with Chris today - when we met each other in Bath, we enjoyed also this fine local ice cream.
Ginnie Hart: It's fun when we can "accidentally" end up on the same page, Philine, isn't it. smile

There is also special ice cream for dogs as I recently saw.
Ginnie Hart: Really??? Someone would come up with that, of course! We had a German Shepherd that LOVED ice cubes. smile
Ginnie Hart: Thankfully, Claudine, it wasn't too hot that day but I do wonder how they survive in really hot weather??

Thank you for watching my video. I love the sound of that pan flute!

I bet those dogs did not enjoy the heat of last week. I enjoyed a Marshfield Farm ice cream last week when in Bath.

(Shutterchance deleted my image today - it is back now).
Ginnie Hart: I was thinking about them for last week, Alan. I can't imagine being them in such heat.

[So glad you got SC sorted out for today!]

JP
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, JP.
It must have been a bit hot for those dogs during the brief heat wave we had last week Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: I was thinking the exact same thing, Bill.
Very fine study Ginnie, black and white enough for a Monday picture.
Ginnie Hart: B&W, then, for Wednesday, Chad. A carry-over....
Can you imagine getting these two all spruced up to enter into a dog show.
Ginnie Hart: That would be something, Brian!

Beautiful tones and contrasts in this B&W composition!!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir.
Ice cream would be the perfect way to cool off. What gorgeous dogs.
Ginnie Hart: Even the dogs would approve, Mary! smile
Looking at their humans, those dogs must be heavy! The strain on the leashes... smile
And it's an unexpected touch with the screaming and ice cream... grin
Ginnie Hart: It's fun, Sudipto, isn't it. I love surprises like this. smile
deux beaux noir et blanc avec deux superbe chiens "chevelus"!! amitiés
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, JP. I was glad I caught them before they rounded the corner.
That's a pair of very woolly dogs!
Ginnie Hart: A bit too woolly for me, Tom.

When these dogs stand still, one can't discern the front from the end. Should be a problem during the mating ritual.

Cream teas on the board and detox on the door.
Ginnie Hart: Sometimes you just get to observe and be pleasantly surprised, Louis. grin

On a hot day there is nothing better than a cool icecream smile
Ginnie Hart: My thought exactly, Cherry.
OMG, your doppelgangers in Cornwall!

The left one in dark vest with short hair must be G!

The right one must be A!

Now you both need to have a matching pair of dogs in Holland.

What am I thinking?!
Ginnie Hart: What are you thinking, indeed, LC. I think you've gone mad! HA!
And if there is a barber there somewhere, they need haircuts.
Ginnie Hart: I would think so, Michael. In which case, I'm sure no one would recognize them?!
Whenever I see these kinds of dogs...I am in awe with what the owners must go through to keep them groomed!
Ginnie Hart: I agree, Robin. Not my kind of hobby, I'm afraid!
