Soft and lovely lighting, Ginnie! Somehow you take photo's that might look ordinary from anyone else - and you make them look just beautiful!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Elizabeth and most kind of you.

I am weary after a 65km cycle ride, Ginnie, but feel a breakfast and coffee will be more useful and satisfying than a prayer.
Ginnie Hart: I picture you as one who never needs a prayer, Ray, unlike so many others around our chaotic world.

The perfect place to have some time for yourself, away from the mad world we live in. Wonderful scene and I agree with Elizabeth.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Astrid. We shared the place with only one other person, a photographer. We were lucky.

And it was surely also possible to light on a candle - the next time I have to visit San Michele cemetery - I like your image very much - I agree with Elizabeth, too. .
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, dear Philine. Next time I do hope you can get to the San Michele cemetery!

A useful cushion, to0, so that you can rest your head (and eyes) during over-long sermons. I'm not one for praying but I did often look up at a hill that's looming up in front of me and think "Oh Lord" (or something else.. wink )
Ginnie Hart: Sometimes "Oh Lord" is the best prayer ever on our lips, Alan!
It helps many people and gives comfort to them
Ginnie Hart: Yes, it does, Bill.
That's my fave scripture!!! 'Come to Me all who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest, for I am gentle and humble of heart, take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, My yoke is easy and My burden is light, and you will find rest for your souls'... to me, the Bible, if it only had one scripture it could be that one... what else do you need to know about God? smile hmmm, i think i typed the scripture in the wrong order... oh and nice picture!!! did you know that cathedrals are supposed to inspire awe and make you feel close to God?
Ginnie Hart: It's one of my favorites, too, Elaine! Even this wee cemetery chapel/church inspired awe, for which I was thankful.
I am so pleased that you saw so much and enjoyed yourselves in Venice.
Ginnie Hart: Indeed so, Chad. We'll never forget it! (And because we saw so much, we may never need to go back again, if that makes sense?)

I read an article about stress and anxiety among school children and leading to burn-outs. This place can be a haven to rest your weariness - almost as if I can smell the place.
Ginnie Hart: We all need a quiet place, Louis, indeed...a place that helps relieve the stress. Most children in our world today will never know what it means to be a child, I'm afraid.
The number of times I've walked past things like this and never thought what a good picture they would make.
Ginnie Hart: But you find all the OTHER things, Brian!!!
I meant to add how good it feels to be the only people in such places, apart perhaps from one or two others, they are havens of peace and reflection I always feel.
Ginnie Hart: Yes, Brian, you're right. Both times we were there we didn't see and crowding of tourists at all. In fact, quite the opposite.
it is inducing me to lie my head down on the desk, Ginnie! i always like these large, rectangular floor tiles.
Ginnie Hart: Just do it, Ayush! Sometimes we just need to listen to our bodies. smile
With election upon us I fear we'll be more heavy laden than ever!
Ginnie Hart: I've been paying attention this morning, Tom. It's definitely closer than TM ever expected!!!
No fanciful pew cushions there?
No wonder you can't stop coming here to collect more, G! wink

From weather vanes to church cushions, you are quite a collector! He he
Ginnie Hart: Isn't it wonderful, LC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! smile
How about a prayer for old retired guys smile
Ginnie Hart: HA! And old retired ladies, too, Michael!!!

A lovely space for some peace and tranquility.
Ginnie Hart: I thought so, too, Anne.
Love the peacefulness in this capture...nice.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Robin...especially when no one else is around!
