A Mid-Week Break

Murano glass in the workroom, not for sale, is still Murano glass!

When we take our breaks, we're still the real us, right?  :)

No, I am more me when I am on break! smile
Ginnie Hart: The real-er you, then, Larry?! smile
That is gorgeous glass.
Ginnie Hart: I guess Murano glass is famous for a reason, Michael?!
I love those bright colors!
Ginnie Hart: I do, too, Elizabeth!

This is a wonderful selective colouring. It is amazing what is done with glass. Love all the details.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Astrid. It made me wonder if the pieces weren't "perfect" enough for selling or if they decided to enjoy the beauty of their handiwork, even in the workroom? Hopefully the latter.

And to think you treated me to a piece, Ginnie - I will photograph it for S/C
Ginnie Hart: Awwww. How sweet, Lisl. I'll love seeing it through your eyes and lens!
J'aime beaucoup le Murano , c'est superbe !
Bonne journée
Ginnie Hart: Unmistakably Murano glass, Claudine!
It is very popular and used to pop up frequently on Bargain hunt on the Telly!
Ginnie Hart: I can imagine how popular it is, Bill. I wonder if it ever pops up in your charity shops???
I am looking forward to meeting the real me Ginnie. I looked in the mirror the other day and saw an imposter.
Ginnie Hart: NONONO. Not YOU, Chad. You're as real as it gets! smile

There's an idea; if they break their favourite glass, they can just make another one smile I lobe the colours.
Ginnie Hart: I guess it's all very easy for them, Alan? Thanks.

Ginnie Hart: It really is beautiful, Elaine. And it's everywhere there!
I like mix between colors and bw. Murano glass are superb
Ginnie Hart: Merci, Marie. Murano glass has a reputation that precedes itself!

Ginnie Hart: Many kind thanks, JP.
For certain no two pieces will ever be exactly the same.
Ginnie Hart: You're right, Brian!

Sigh ... i would love a mid-week break. Such a busy few weeks... But i do enjoy this colourful image! Reminds me of summer, around the corner!
Ginnie Hart: When you are the busiest, Emily, it's all the more reason to take a break! Hope you can take a few in the days to come, especially since Summer IS around the corner!
Not sure I agree with you this time. When you took a break in Cornwall last week , you were Botas, right? wink

You're now Laarzen in Holland. Man, what am I talking about?

But can I call your Klompen? Sounds better than Laarzen!
Ginnie Hart: Botas, Klompen, Laarzen. HA! Take my pick. Hmmmmm. Maybe I'll just stick with Boots??!!
somehow this glass seems to fit well with you and Astrid...
we loved out tour of the Murano Glass works....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: It IS fun to see what colors and shapes catch our attention in such a place, Peter.
Hmmm...perhaps they've selected a few to take home? Love the abstract in their work!
Ginnie Hart: I wonder if they're considered discards, Robin...not good enough to sell? But they were sitting all around in the work room, being put to good use. Thanks.
I would think each is a 'second', a piece that is not quite perfect. Seening it in use helps sell it too.
Ginnie Hart: Some people would die yo have the seconds, I'm sure, Mary. Isn't that the way it is!
