It's Monday

Hmmm.  So, which hat do I wear today!

(at the gondola boatyard in Venice, Italy)

See Astrid's bigger context here.

An outdoors workshop, and dressing room?
Ginnie Hart: May such wonders never cease, Ray!
Très jolie composition !
Ginnie Hart: Merci, Martine.
That is wonderful. A great wall of hats.
Ginnie Hart: It's fun to pick out the ones that are NOT gondelier hats, Michael...as well as the frowny and smiley hats. smile

I love the two hats with a 'frowny and a smiley'...
A wonderful scene and to know that most of the gondolas are made here.
Ginnie Hart: Plus there are a couple other hats that look like women's sunbonnets. HA! I loved the video at you site...telling that they make only one new gondola per year!
excellent point of view, Ginnie. i love the various items to see.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Ayush. It would have been worth a tour to see the entire place, I'm sure.

And a hat to fit everyone, Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: I do believe so, Lisl!
Il y a le choix...un pour chaque jour !
Bravo pour cette photo insolite .
Ginnie Hart: Merci, Claudine. It seemed to be a museum of hats for this gondola boatyard. I'm sure they still accept donations?! smile

A delightful image Ginnie, love the hats
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Chris. I suppose it's their way of making a "museum" of it.

Haha- what a wonderful observation! I know the last gondola boatyard in Venice, not far away from San Salute.
Ginnie Hart: We just happened upon this while talking the Accademia walk, Philine. It was fun.

Hmmmmm... choices, choices... Sometimes it is easier just to have one.

Its that time of year again when I have to wear a hat each time I go out now in the sun. Today will be challenging as it is very windy.
Ginnie Hart: I know what you mean, Alan...on both all accounts!
Well hats off to you Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: HAHAHA! Good one, Chad. smile
i used to have enuff hats to fill a wall lol... i'm not sure what happened to them over the years, when i had long long hair hats were good on me, but with my buzzcut, not so much smile anyway, enuff about me haha, this is a super cool shot, i like how everything is in it's place...
Ginnie Hart: Long hair with hats, yes. looks good. Short hair and hats for me, not so good. I get it! But thanks. It was fun to find this.
C'est cela aussi Venise et j'aime ça.
Ginnie Hart: Merci, Marie. Unmistakably Venice, for sure.
How cool is that! I suppose they are in the perfect place to receive wind-blown hats.
Ginnie Hart: Definitely, Mary. I'd love to know the history each one represents!
I know the theme here is hats, but I just love the flow between those two boats. Not sure flow is the right word, but there's poetry there for sure! Beautiful!
Ginnie Hart: I really like the way you "see" that, Robin. Thank you for sharing it.
Nice to have a choice.
Ginnie Hart: I hope so, Brian, though sometimes it can drive you crazy???
If you want to get ahead...get a hat!
Ginnie Hart: HA! I'll take your word for it, Bill. smile
Which hat you wear depends on what your head is doing...
Ginnie Hart: I suppose so, Larry??!
One for every day of the year!
Ginnie Hart: There you go, Tom. All set!
You should wear a tiara, my queen G!
Ginnie Hart: HAHAHA! You take the prize, LC, because flattery will take you just about anywhere!
excellente photo!! amitiés
Ginnie Hart: Many kind thanks, JP.
Wonderful close up of Astrid's POV. The hats are wonderful!!!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Elizabeth. As you already know, sometimes it´s fun to collaborate. smile
