Oh...love this!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir.
Cant beat it, Ginnie...What a nice carving.
Ginnie Hart: They say power naps are good for you, Frank. I'm not used to taking them yet but I'm sure it'll start happening any day/year now. smile Thanks.
That is amazing wood work.
Ginnie Hart: I thought so, too, Michael.
really liking the timbre and the carvings here, Ginnie. impressive work.
Ginnie Hart: I find more interesting stuff like this in churches and abbeys than anywhere else, Ayush. That's why we always try to enter, when possible.
What beautiful tones in the wood! I love the animal's position, and your angle!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, dear Elizabeth. There are few things I love more than wood carvings!

I love the light in this picture, the carvings are wonderful, so much to see. Love the way the tail is around the body.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Astrid. When I go back and see some of these images, I'm reminded again of how much we saw that trip!

Ginnie Hart: Or so I've heard, Chris. smile I haven't gotten into the habit yet but 'spect it'll start happening before long.

The muscles in that beast are very realistic, Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Yes, they are, Lisl. I suppose once the choir starts singing, he wakes up?
Bonjour Ginnie
Magnifique sculpture , j'adore le travail sur bois !
Ginnie Hart: Merci, Claudine. Thank you kindly.

I wonder? I'm off to the doctor in around 45 minutes; I wonder if she will agree. What a fine carving, though, as is all the woodwork.
Ginnie Hart: I haven't started the habit yet, Alan, but I do remember in Mom's later years how she could take a quick snooze while sitting up. smile

Etonnant!
Ginnie Hart: Merci, Anne.
When I see things like this Ginnie, I just wonder at the skill of those craftsmen who carv wood so splendidly..
Ginnie Hart: I totally agree with you, Chad!
Oh it surely is Ginnie! Nice find
Ginnie Hart: Aha! So you've already started the habit, Bill??? smile I remember how my mom could fall asleep sitting up during any time of the day!

Loely, so much emphasis on carving in this picture. I bet a lot of people touched the lion's backside smile
Ginnie Hart: I love wood like this everywhere, Louis, carved or not, so this place really made my heart sing. smile I'm sure you're right about all the touching on his backside.
What beautiful frame just filled with wood.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Mary. Sometimes you can't get enough, can you...of wood!
Great image, one your your folder of best SC photos. I'm finding it quite easy to snooze for a while during the early afternoon after lunch these days!!
Ginnie Hart: Most kind of you, Brian. There's something about wood like this that is soulful for me, so I'm glad you deem it one of my best.
let sleeping dogs lie Ginnie... beautiful wood sculptures....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: Absolutely, Peter. One just never knows.....
I imagine there was quite a lot of snoozing going on during the long sermons!
Ginnie Hart: Maybe so, Tom. smile
Ha ha... It's not snoozing, it's watching you G!

Behave, girls!
Ginnie Hart: You never know when they're quite ready to pounce, LC, so I'm always behaving. HA!

That looks like a really uncomfortable snooze position!
Ginnie Hart: I think the hindquarters would slide off if it weren't for that ledge piece, Cherry? smile
As always, your humor shines through...
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Larry. smile
Oh, how PERFECT for a midweek break! Love it!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Robin. What is it about wood that makes everything more calming!
