Bring 'em on, Ginnie...more like this would be much appreciated by this vicarious co-traveller.
Ginnie Hart: Most kind of you, Ray. I may not have as many as I thought , by the time I'm done, but how can we tire of the gondolas, right?!
J'aime beaucoup la forme de ces gondoles.
Ginnie Hart: I do, too, Martine. Gondolas are so fun.

What a great way to start the series about Venice. I think this picture tells the story already, the gondolas and the wonderful houses and water. Love the treatment.
Ginnie Hart: More Venice you cannot get, Astrid. Thank you!

This is a wonderfully treated image from Venice - like a painting!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Philine. I did, in fact, give it a painterly effect, which is what seemed right for the image.

Every day? Or every Friday, Ginnie??
Ginnie Hart: HA! Just Fridays, Lisl. I may not have as many as I thought, however, so I think you're "safe." smile

Very painterly Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: That was definitely the idea, Chris, so thanks.
oh gosh, i never thought of an onslaught of BOATS haha, oh well, they are nothing like big liveaboard sail boats smile as a matter of fact this is a looovely picture!!
Ginnie Hart: Nothing like live-aboards, Elaine, so you're safe. HA! Thanks.
I imagine it's difficult not get "just one more" in a place like this! This is a beautiful entry to your series!
Ginnie Hart: I may not have as many as I thought, Elizabeth, but it really IS hard not to keep snapping away! Thank you.
Moi j'adore ..alors oui prête !
Belle photo
Ginnie Hart: Most kind of you, Claudine. Merci.

Yep, bring it on. I'll climb aboard and let's go! Ill let the gondolier do the singing, though.
Ginnie Hart: HA! You're such a good sport, Alan! Thanks. smile
If they are as good as this I won't complain Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: How kind of you, Bill! smile
Ah gondola land, all set up to fleece the tourist. A very pleasing image Ginnie. Could this be ebvening?
Ginnie Hart: I rode in one at night in my past life but neither Astrid nor I were tempted THIS time. It was enough to just see them. And, yes, this was around 7:30 p.m.
Boats from Venice are unique so will be delightful to see. Bring 'em on.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks for your vote of confidence, Mary.
You're certainly off to a very good start, the painterly effect works very well.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir.

Lovely scène and treatment!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Anne.
An interesting tweak, Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: One of those "interesting" words, Tom. smile
How can one overdo Venice?
The city is full of little gems waiting to be discovered, only if you know how to avoid the tourists.

Ha ha... You know my biggest problem in Venice? There are more pigeons than public toilets. So I try not to drink so much there...
Ginnie Hart: You definitely have to NOT drink too much, LC. Believe it or not, we never had to use the public toilets (apart from our café/restaurant stops). Lucky us.
Sweet painterly look. Very cool.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Michael.
compo et traitement superbe!! amitiés
Ginnie Hart: Many kind thanks, JP.
Go for it Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Larry.

Delightful smile

I look forward to seeing more smile
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Cherry!
As touristy as it is to ride the canals...I LOVED it! This processing is pure perfection! Can't wait for more.
Ginnie Hart: The thing is, you HAVE to do the touristy things while in Venice, just to say you did it, Robin! But we also did a lot of things most tourists never do, so we had the best of both worlds! smile Thank you.
Very nice! It really looks like a beautiful painting!
