J'aime beaucoup le personnage. Jolie photo.
Ginnie Hart: Merci, Martine. So do I.
Doesn't he grab your attention - all dressed up in gold! Very nice, Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: It's definitely hard to miss him, Elizabeth!
I like the gold against the blue sky, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: I do, too, Frank. Thank you.
Ostentatious.
Ginnie Hart: Interestingly, Michael, the inside of the church was the least ostentatious of almost any Roman Catholic church I've ever seen. Maybe that's because they spent it all on this fella?

I don't think I would want to be woken up by him, Ginnie. What a startling picture!
Ginnie Hart: I wonder how the neighbors feel about him, Lisl?! smile

That will wake them up HA.... This is such a great 'bell-ringer'... Love the blue sky as the background.
Ginnie Hart: We were there on such a beautiful day, weren't we! I have a feeling he's been worth his weight in gold. smile

This is a funny posting to welcome the new week!
Ginnie Hart: Especially since my American friends "sprung forward" one hour in their time change yesterday, Philine, while we Europeans have to wait two more weeks. One less hour of sleep is never fun on that day!
I will be invaded today by ladies! Ange is hosting a Lions Ladies coffee morning.....still there will be cakes and scones so it isn't all bad.

Nice picture to start the week ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Cakes and scones. HAHAHA! You'll be in heaven, Bill, and NOT complaining at all! smile Thanks.

i love this, the picture is so RICH... but why is the gold dude wearing a dress? smile *giggle*
Ginnie Hart: The gold is on the OUTSIDE of this church, Elaine, which intrigues me. Nothing at all ostentatious on the inside. A dress? Maybe it's more like a Roman centurion???
Beautiful composition Ginnie and excellent rendering of the gold statue
Ginnie Hart: Thank you and thank you, Marie!
That is a very golden gold. Love it!
Ginnie Hart: The sun was a big helper that day, Mary! smile

He would try this next to my bedroom window. What a clear shot - love it.
Ginnie Hart: It's probably a good idea that he's way up high overlooking the market square, Louis. smile I bet you are thrilled about being able to see again!
I really like this, I'm presuming it strikes the bell every so often.
Ginnie Hart: I nbelieve it's on the hour, every hour, Brian. How fun is that!
Beautiful contrast between the gold statue and the blue sky smile
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Charles!

Now this is wonderful! It really stands out against the blue of the sky. Does the hammer actually strike the bell?
Ginnie Hart: Oh, yes, Alan...every hour on the hour he strikes the bell, telling us the time:

that gold is a wonderful contrast to the dark blue sky above him...
he looks like he takes his work seriously Ginnie....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: Oh, yes, Peter. He gets a good audience every day and surely eats it all up!
Absolutely, G!
Wake up and smile the waffles.

How many pieces did you have in Leuven?
Ginnie Hart: Believe it or not, LC, we didn't eat one single Belgian waffle this time!
Gold and blue sure work together. That is a gorgeous image.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Michael. Sometimes the skies know how to cooperate! smile

Love the gold and blue! I do believe some folks may wake up with TRUMPCARE! We can only hope!
Ginnie Hart: The roll-out has been a YUGE mess, from from I hear, Robin. Let's just hope no one sits still until they get it right for everyone!
