Beautiful sunny view smile
Ginnie Hart: We were so glad it didn't rain that day, Cherry.
This is a different angle of Wells Cathedral Ginnie, I have not seen it from here before.
Ginnie Hart: Lisl and I were at the Bishop's Palace next door, Chad, when I saw this view. I was thrilled to see it like this.

Que c'est beau ! Jolies couleurs et lumière.
Ginnie Hart: Merci, Martine. It's such a beautiful cathedral.
Keeping a sunny disposition, then?! I'll do my best! This is a wonderful shot of this Cathedral - beautiful light you've captured!
Ginnie Hart: A sunny disposition, indeed, Elizabeth. I like that! smile
I was thinking the same as Chad. Mind you it is a wonderful building from any angle
Ginnie Hart: Lisl and I were in the yard of the next-door Bishop's Palace, Bill, when I saw this fabulous view. I couldn't take my eyes off of it.
I would sleep under that tree.
Ginnie Hart: I would, too, Michael, if you were there to protect me. smile

Ginnie Hart: Merci, JP. I was very happy to see that "face."

The Bishop's Palace certainly makes a fine view-point for the Cathedral, Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: I'm so glad we saw both that day, Lisl, thanks to you!

I love this majestic Cathedral with that wonderful sky. Love the way the sun is shining and makes these shadows. I assume this is a small cemetery?
Ginnie Hart: No cemetery, Astrid. What you see is a monument of some sort which I never saw up close. Maybe it was a tombstone but it wasn't a cemetery. Now you have me curious.

A wonderful image Ginnie, I might even go there today..
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Chris. If you go, say a prayer for your Little Sis who had tooth surgery yesterday and is home from work for a week+.

Oh, this is a wonderful image - and I remember the way around the cathedral with this view!
Ginnie Hart: It really is a wonderful view, Philine. I feel so privileged to have seen it.
Magnifique !!!
Chez nous c'est soleil pour l'instant
Bon week-end aussi
Ginnie Hart: So far so good, then, Claudine!

Oh wow! This is beautiful. I love the light on the cathedral with the dark clouds beyond.
Ginnie Hart: It did remind me of YOU, Alan, if I may be so bold. Maybe you're rubbing off on me?

this is absolutely my favourite light, sunshine on trees or mountains with black foreboding clouds above!!! this is a wonderful shot, and what a find...
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Elaine. One of my favorite things about the Netherlands (like this time in England) is the skies like this. I LOVE them.
I like this sunshiney scene and I sure am glad it is Friday!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Mary. I hope you had a change of scenery!
What a lovely shot of a beautiful building, I wish it was only just down the road from us and not a lengthy journey away.
Ginnie Hart: I bet you have a number of fine cathedrals near you, Brian, that are just as stunning?!
jolie lumière!! amitiés
Ginnie Hart: It was spectacular in that moment, JP. Merci.

The sculpture Astrid mentioned is "The Weight of our Sins" by Josefina de Vasconcellos in the Bishop's Palace Gardens.
Ginnie Hart: Ahhh. Thanks for the added info, Philine, because we didn't walk by it to find out. Very helpful to know.
Oh yes, I am sure you will enjoy Peterborough Cathedral in Cambridgeshire.

But there's another famous cathedral in Cambridgeshire. That's Ely Cathedral, much older (built in 1083!!) but smaller than Peterborough Cathedral.

Skip Cornwall, visit Cambridgeshire instead. wink
Ginnie Hart: So many places to see and so little time, LC. But I love all the recommendations. We can't skip Cornwall, of course (the flights are booked and we're staying with friends). When you invite us to stay with you, we will see everything you want us to see!
Oh, my. That is gorgeous.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Michael. It really is!

Thank you, we have an off-chance. We had rain ever since last weekend and everyone is ecstatic about it.

Excellent light on your subject here.
Ginnie Hart: I'm sure rain is one of those things you long for from time to time there, Louis. It's YOUR kind of sunshine, I'm sure.

What beautiful lighting! Enjoy the weekend!
Ginnie Hart: The Dutch skies are like this often, Robin, which I think might be true of all of Europe! Thank you.
