You never know when you 'gonna' need it. Love the dark mood of this picture....
Ginnie Hart: I was mostly surprised that day by how old and in disrepair these boats were, Astrid. It sobered me in regards to the economic situation there. Other than that, the history of these boats must be amazing.

Ah yes.. of course. Silly me for not recognising it wink Apparently, the Stevenson family have been fishing out of Newlyn for over 100 years. The fishing business has been integral to the development of Newyln and has enabled Newlyn to become one of the main fishing harbours in the UK. No way would I do their job but I'm glad that they do theirs.
Ginnie Hart: I've been learning a LOT about the fishing ports of Cornwall lately, Alan. I hope to learn more when we're back there in May.
and one that has worked hard for its living by the look of it Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: I can attest to that, Bill, having seen it up close and personal!

Surely with a great history - I have to google. The rust tells stories.
Ginnie Hart: Oh, yes, Philine. It was quite sobering, the rust, realizing the economic straits in some parts of Cornwall these days.
image et couleurs superbes!! amitiés
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, JP.

Your conversion fits the maintenance level (a.k.a. rust) of the trawler. Great picture.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir.
I love the treatment giving an almost 3D feel. Well done Ma'am.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Mary. I like when it works. smile
It certainly looks in need of TLC even without your excellent presentation skills.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Brian. I was actually a bit alarmed to see the "dire straits" of the boats I saw there that day.
Interesting Ginnie, thank you.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you and you're welcome, Chad.
He he.. Are you sure it's not William Sampson & Sons? wink

Are you coming to England again in May? I think you should visit Yorkshire next time. Yea, try York, I am sure you will love it.
Ginnie Hart: Yes, to England in May...CORNWALL. But then, we're staying with friends there. When are YOU going to invites us to stay with YOU????
Looks like a working boat!
Ginnie Hart: Oh, yes, Tom. I have a feeling it's already seen its better days.
great color scheme
Ginnie Hart: I thought so, too, Larry.
Des détails que j'aime beaucoup ..Belle photo !
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Claudine.

I can't find the words for my thoughts...but there's just something so interesting about the composition and coloring of this image. Just striking! Well done!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Robin. I was actually quite sobered by the economic decay we saw in Cornwall. It would make for a good discussion one day. My understanding is that MANY in Cornwall voted for BREXIT. Sound familiar???
